Here we have a very rare 1972 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. In1972 Chevrolet only made 6456 Impala convertibles which is low enough, but this convertible has the supper rare 402 big block engine. This was such a low production car, that they didn't even make big block 402 emblems for the fenders, they used the small block 400 emblems. On the shroud of the car you can clearly read 402 engine (see picture). This is a very solid car that features the 402 big block with a 4 barrel carburetor backed up by the famous 400 short tail transmission and factory duel exhaust. The Engine runs very strong with no knocks taps or smoke, and the transmission shifts well. the front end seems tight and the brakes stop well, but the pedal is a little hard. This car also features power windows , door lock, and seats, Air condition and they all work well but air needs a charge. This car has a new top with a glass window and it goes up and down with no problems and the boot is in the trunk.. The body on this car is very solid with no rust in the floors ,trunk. or frame and has the rare factory skirts. all the panel seem to be very solid with some light bondo on the quarters . This car was originally Blue and now has a red repaint that is in fair but presentable condition. The interior is in very nice condition with just a split in the drivers seat. Chrome and bumpers are straight but could use re-plating for the show car. This car is 100% original except for the radio and would be a great car to restore or just put the top down and drive.
