Hi, I have for sale a 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport, extended cab 2WD pickup. I searched for a long time to find this truck, because I wanted a V8 and a 5 speed manual transmission. I also wanted the extended cab with all the options, and I guess most people choose the automatic transmission along with all the other options. Manual transmissions are getting harder and harder to get. The truck is in very good condition inside and out, for a 13 year old vehicle (please see pictures). I purchased it in 2006 and it has been garaged ever since. It has 99K miles, which is extremely low for 13 years and only about 7,500 miles per year. The engine runs perfect and sounds real nice with the Gibson dual exhaust. The transmission shifts nice and smooth, and the clutch holds tight. The rear has 4.56 gears and limited slip (I also have the original 3.55 unit). The truck has plenty of power and pulls real hard, but still cruises along at 75 MPH with no problem in 5th gear. It also has new brakes up front including calipers, rotors and pads. It also has 4 new tires that are in excellent shape. I also installed a Pioneer sound system with detachable face and remote control, with a external jack for connecting a MP3 player. The interior has no tears of any kind and is in nearly perfect condition. The exterior is also in nearly perfect shape with no rust that I can see. It does however have some paint fading and a minor dent on the hood, near the wind deflector (please see pictures). The air conditioning does work if charged, but it has a leak and recently the air bag light has been staying on. I don't normally use the AC and prefer just opening up the sliding rear window, so I never bothered to get it fixed. The power locks and windows work perfectly. I don't want to sell the truck, but I now have 2 other vehicles and I can't afford to insure all 3 of them and something has to go. The truck can be picked up locally, or you can arrange shipping.
