This sale is for: 1972 Datsun 1600 pick up truck. Also known as a PL521. According to previous owner this truck is an original low mileage truck. The odometer presently reads 28,818 miles. I was told the original owner was a lady who used it as her personal vehicle on her ranch in Oregon. I believe I am the 3rd owner. OTHER INFORMATION: The car sat for the winter in my garage It was NOT driven in this cold Michigan winter. I have too many vehicles and too little time, so have decided it is time to let this truck go. It starts right up and runs well. The body is in good condition with with NO rust through or punky spots anywhere. The rust shown on the floor boards is surface and the boards are solid. There is a dent on the left rear corner of the bed (please see the pictures to verify). The color is a light green. I’m not sure what it is called, but I call it celery green. The interior is two-two green. The rear bumper is an aftermarket that has probably been on the truck since new. It could use a nice sand blasting and repaint. The interior is in very good condition, although the mat is showing age. The door panels are original and in excellent condition. The seat was splitting and had been covered with a cheap blanket style cover which caused the original upholstery to get even worse. I recovered the seat with a good quality vinyl and installed new padding. It looks good and sits well. All the gauges work. Even the AM radio works. And NO it doesn’t just play music from the 70’s. It runs the original engine and complete driveline, as far as I can tell. All five tires are relatively new, installed before I bought the truck. They are Hankook P215/70x14 Radial tires. Two areas that need attention are: the window felts are worn, so the windows rattle. The felts should be replaced. 2nd, the heat control valve is frozen and will need to be replaced. The truck deserves to be detailed. Washed, waxed, buffed, chrome polished, and interior cleaned and upholstery treated. This truck was used, but not abused. The truck is being sold as is, where is. There is no warranty stated, written, or implied. This is a 42 year old vehicle. As any truck of this vintage it may need a few things done. I would encourage you to inspect the truck first. I have given any info as to the needs of the truck, as I know them, in the most honest manner. I like the vehicle and may have inadvertently overlooked some of it’s clunks, rattles, and little quirks. You will be satisfied with my honest description. Yes, there is a reserve. BALANCE is due within 10 days of the end of the auction or (which ever occurs first) prior to picking the car up, shipping the car, or receiving delivery of the car from the seller. BALANCE must be by wire transfer, cash or other funds that are verifiable and guaranteed at the time of exchange. I will work the details out with the purchaser. NEITHER THE CAR NOR THE TITLE WILL BE GIVEN OUT UNTIL THE FUNDS ARE FULLY EXCHANGED, VERIFIED, AND USABLE IN MY ACCOUNT.
