Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1972 split bumper RS Camaro. This car is a drivable project that I’ve been working on for several years. The body of this car is in good shape. The car looks to have been hit in the rear at some time and had a quarter panel replaced. I have replaced the lower quarter panel on the other side so there are no worries of rusted quarters. I re-skinned one door and replaced both front fenders with new ones. Both upper and lower header panels were also replaced with new steel. I’ve replaced the original urethane nose with a fiber glass nose. The car has a six inch cowl Harwood hinged fiberglass hood. The original sub frame rubber mounts have been replaced with new polyurethane bushings. The car has a new windshield and the other glass seems to be original and in fair condition. The only sheet metal work needed would be a trunk floor pan. The paint is two years old and is about a seven out of ten on a quality scale with one dent in the passenger door. Under the hood is a 3970010 four bolt main 350ci. with less than two thousand miles on it. The engine has a set of pink rods and a performance summit cam that rumbles and shakes the car pretty good. The heads are G.M. factory aluminum that have been hand ported intake and exhaust and flowed on a flow bench. The rockers are aluminum roller tips topped by custom sheet metal aluminum valve covers. The intake is an open plain Victor jr. with a Holley 650 sitting on top. The car has a 400 transmission with a 2500 rpm stall converter. The wheels and tires were new ten years ago but only have about two thousand miles on them. The interior is in fair shape and is a desirable color. The gauge cluster is a custom panel with a set of Phantom gauges. The front seats are baji off road racing seats. This is a drivable, unfinished street rod not a show car. I have a clean title in hand.
