Vehicle Detail
This motorcycle and sidecar is titled as a 1999 MFG. It has a genuine BMW R75 motor with 900cc jugs and stock R75 carbs. It uses original final drive from transmission back. It is clean and has been modified to be used as a dependable daily driver. This has reverse gear as well. When I purchased it we drove it around the hills of Seattle for about a half an hour, I sat in the sidecar and it pulled with no sign of slowing. I have had this moto in my storefront as a showpiece and topic for conversation. It has all BMW badges. From what I understand before the 2nd world war, The Chineese cloned the BMW and have been selling this exact model ever since in China. Go to dubbity dub Chang-jiang.c0m for more info. The only damage to this bike is on the sidecar wheel fender. Please contact me with any info or questions. Electric start and kick start. The front brake drum is a 70s Triumph conical front hub. It stops much better than the original for sure. There is a new battery installed in the back of the sidecar. The motor is in great condition, and the guy who I bought it from converted the motor and does sidecar conversions for a living. The motor in it now is a dependable boxer model , it is very clean, does not leak, sounds great and has all the torque in the world. Transmission has small leak but just dots on the floor, no puddle. It has been sitting in my storefront since Aug 2013 and one paper towel was all that was needed to clean it up. I am changing around the storefront space and it needs to go. This moto comes with an extra single saddle (as shown in one of the pics - mounts to rear rack, and is sprung like driver saddle. A new extra saddle cover comes with as well. There is a vinyl & leather cover in perfect condition for the sidecar. The extra parts consist of an extra transmission, drive shaft, original front wheel hub plate, lights, bolts, original speedo and misc tidbits. This bike is clean and has a tasteful patina. It is not concourse but is mostly shiney and people dont get dirty when sitting in and on it. The bike is available for viewing in Seattle at 620 1st ave in the Pioneer Square.
