One of the best color combinations I've seen on the E39. I purchased in 2009, and have maintained since. In October changed the front pads and rotors. The front sensor wire was spliced by my friend. Rear pads and rotors changed in fall 2012. I recently changed the fan clutch and changed out the plastic for an aluminum pulley from DDS Tuning. Both Electric Fan resistors were changed last year. The radiatior and water pump were changed in 2011 (i think). front and rear wheel bearings were changed in 2009. Front Struts done in 2011/ or early 2012. I changed out all the transmission sensors because I got a 1st to 2nd gear code last year. ( I only needed to change 1) These cars are notorious for oil leaks, I just keep and eye and add aas needed. My Hood cable snapped, and had to break the grills to access the hood latches. They are glued in place ... If you want to change out (40 or 50 bucks on ebay) Wiper Relay (20 bucks ebay) Wiper Pump (20 bucks ebay). The climate control lights up but no blowing air (FSU, or Fuse) if I have time, I'll look at it this weekend. The rear tires may have another season. worn enough to make that whinig sound. (google it). All 4 match. I usually keep up with all maintainence and detail my car in/out. With the weather being so bad, I have neglected her. I was planning on re-dying the seats and full exterior detail, but it's time to move on.....my heart is set on an E60! If the auction price gets up there in price, I will fix the cosmetic issues The chrome trim around the belt line and windows was covered with Plasti-dip and could easily come off. There is a clear coat issue on the roof and some on the front bumper. I was ready to order the leather dye, but i'm holding off. Someone in a Cargo Van backed up into a parking spot and left a "golf sized" dent right over the kidney grill. It was reported to insurance and had the hood and right fender sprayed. within 4 months, something fell from the above elevated train and caused damage on that freshly painted hood. This time I left it. See pics It was on the carfax, not sure if it dropped off. People find it hard to beleive that this car in 16 years old. Once detailed, she outshines some '13's and '14s on the block and parking garages. Like I said, I have my eye out for an E60. I'm in no rush to sell. I would like for someone who has a passion for BMW's to purchase her. Know what you're getting yourself into. I have other photos if interested. Thanks for looking.
