Vehicle Detail

Thanks for looking, yes this is a 1988 with a 1993 nose & quarter glass. For additional veiws, please visit the YouTube Video link http://youtu.be/5sSZvzHXbu8 The truck's History. Originally this was a Ceturion Package, Ford would send these trucks out for the Dually conversion and paint scheme. What makes this one rare is that it's an F250, but more so that it's four wheel drive. The majority of duallys tend to be two wheel drive. All of the parts appear to be time period correct based on the wheel adapters and the bed side cut pattern to mount the rear wheel wells. Orriginally, the truck was Tan in color with dark brown block two-tone paint between the body lines. A previous owner had a Maaco paint job done in single stage acrylic enamel black, absoulutly horrible paint job, overspray on the moding, door jambs were still tan, unfinished. This was the way I purchased it and drove it home in late 2009 I spent a little over 4 years on & off in my garage to refurbish this truck for the sole purpose of towing an RV trailer. The intent was not to restore but to crate a maintanace free truck that did not cost a lot for insurance and property taxes. Not to mention, in CT this is now emmission test exempt and eligable for antique plates. Additionally, it's a 3/4 ton truck so commercial registration is not required. I already have a F350 plow truck and last year we found a deal on an E450 RV, the kids were tired of waiting for me to finish the dually. Needless to say, I no longer have a use for it but I'd like to mention that I'm not going to give this away either so please don't ask me to sell it for a rediculously low number at the auctions end if the reserve is not met. If it doesn't sell, It can sit in the garage for another 4 years. When I started this project, I was skepticle the trucks milage was accurate, cosmetically, it was rough but it ran well and had a solid frame. When I had the top half of the engine apart to resleal the intake and replace the thernostat, I went a bit further and pulled the heads, curiosity got the best of me. I confirmed the milage on the odemeter was accurate based on the lack of carbon build up on the pistons, cylinder bore wear, vitually no ridge at the top of the bore with cross hatch marks still present. I starting with the frame by removing the nose, cab & bed. The drivetrain was not removed, I wire brushed the frame, front and rear end, applied epoxy black chassis paint for longevity. The wiring was cleaned and placed along with fuel, brake lines and suspension components as listed below. Each bolt was wire brushed, painted or coated prior to installation, again this was done for longevity purposes. As a whole, this truck has no rust and will withstand the elements for another 10+ years with minimum maintainace The following items were replaced with new parts: Front & Rear Fuel Tank, Sending Units, & Fuel lines from LMC Truck Rear Leaf spring perches from LMC Truck Front & Rear Shocks Cylinder Heads with complete Professional Valve Job, original heads had broken manifold bolts, grabbed these from a non paying customer at a local speed shop for safe measures. OEM Cast Iron Exaust manifolds, hangers, & clamps with complete 3" exaust from Summit Racing Rear Brakes, lines and fittings plus emaergency brake cables and equilizer Front Brakes, lines and fittings alond with 2-Piston calipers Tie Rod Ends L&R Front Suspension Square Bolts L U-Joints Front & Rear Chrome Bumpers from LMC Truck Base Coat/Clear Coat finish inside and out, Ford Code M6290(Twilight Blue Metalic) Heater Core & Lines Belts/Hoses Alternator Exterior Mirrors & Handles from LMC Truck Windshield Since the truck is not registered, I have not sent it to the alighnment shop so that will be needed. The tie rod ends were eye balled in, couplings bolts are left loose intensionally. The tires are in fair condition. I'm willing to work with the tire and alignment cost once the reserve has been met. The tires average $130 each, alighnment is $85 from my trusted and proven source. I have the Connecticut Title and Bill of Sale in hand. On Apr-04-14 at 10:08:39 PDT, seller added the following information: A propesctive bidder has brought to my attention that the CT DMV records indicate the odemter reading on file is 190,000. Each of these entries are a rounded of number which I also find odd. I can't confirm nor deny the validity at this point so the only thing I can do is point out the facts prior to any further bids being submitted. I did verify the VIN# in the listing, it is correct for the truck along with the registration history. I apologise for any false advertising.
