Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a very rare 1950 Chevrolet Steel Woody 4-dr. Station Wagon. This vehicle was completed restored to almost original condition with a few up-grades. It was taken down to bare metal before any body work was done, this was and still is a "TOTAL RUST FREE CAR", body is laser straight. The hand painted wood trim at a very short distance resembles real wood. The exterior paint is burgundy, still bright and shinny. The interior is a tan cloth material, seats, door panels, headliner, carpets are in excellent condition. All of the door and window frames and headliner bows were refinished to look original as it came from the factory. All stainless is excellent as is all of the chrome, front/rear bumpers re-chromed, and grill. The car sets on new 15" Coker wide whites on all four corners mounted on stock Chevy steel wheels and stock Chevy hub-caps, and original fender skirts. The engine is a 350 early Chevy motor, stock, Edelbrock manifold / Edelbrock 600 cfm carb with electric choke. New over sized radiator, HEI distributor, stock exhaust manifolds with cross over pipe into a single muffler to give the car the sound of a stock drivetrain. The transmission is a 350 Chevy stock turbo, rear-end is a Chevy 10 bolt from a Chevy Nova with leaf springs. The dash is all stock except for the controls for the Vintage A/C & Heat, blows cold and heat works great, the car still sports the original stock steering wheel and even has the Chevrolet wording on the horn ring. This is an excellent running car that gets a lot of attention where ever it goes, this would be a great car for the grand parents to drive the kids around in. It still has the three seats that came in the car in 1950 to seat eight people. All of the weather stripping has been replaced along with the window felts. All glass is in good condition no cracks. This car is being sold with no-reserve just a starting price of $27,000.00. The car will go to the highest bidder, "PLEASE NO-TRADE OFFERS"! Good luck on your bidding, this is a great car for the So. California family who likes the beach. Thanks for your interest. I did forget to mention that the front suspension is Mustang two rack & pinion power steering, steers with just a little palm pressure, steers like a dream! *******Note******* I'm relisting the Wagon now that I've received the TITLE back from the Revenue Office ( DMV ) in some states. I have contacted the previous bidders to inform them the reason I took it off e-bay, explaining that the DMV was slow on changing ownership due to major back log of renewals and title changes. Good luck in your bidding and your interest in the car.
