THE HOTTEST RAT ROD TRUCK PROJECT EVER !! If you want something that no one else has , this is for you . I'm not going to give this rare gem away, but , I'm an old man, and I want to sell it soon, so that I might get to see the finished product before I die , so the reserve is price is a "fair" price in my opinion. This rare old bird is the (body only) of a WWII era 1942 " WHITE " semi/ truck /road tractor. It spent it's life in Washington State, and Oregon, and has very little rust. I brought the entire truck to NC in 2008 with every intention of creating a custom build rig with it. Time is working against me now, and I so I offer someone the chance at a rare old bird. This vintage sheet metal is near impossible to find any more, in any condition, and I doubt you'll ever see another one as a rat rod. I think it will blow the doors off the "Pissed Off Pete " in terms of style,design, and sheer ugliness. There is no structural rust. There is a little panel rust here and there, but nothing catastrophic. The bottom "floor" of the interior of the doors have been removed by the previous owner to allow any rain water to drain down through the doors and prevent rust out of bottom of doors. This rig has good solid metal to work with throughout, and super cool old school, factory and optional gauges in the dash board, along with a cool old school industrial trailer brake air handle on the passenger side of the dash, an the huge factory tachometer on the steering column. Everything about this thing screams ............, THE #1 RAT ROD ! It has a few dents , and a little rust too, as you can see. But, great patina, and Very solid for it's age, and a with all glass being flat , it's a great candidate for easy chop ,ONE of a kind, chopped Rat Rod . Because of these HUGE fenders, it may be the ONLY known Rat Rod with an ass end that actually looks complete, and original, instead of the countless fabricated attempt's that you see everywhere ,and they never look like they fit the truck. The fenders are wide enough ,side by side to cover all the way across the back of the cab, and if done right will set this truck apart form any Rat Rod ever built . I've never seen any other American truck ever built, that had front fenders this wide . What you see is what you get ! Does NOT include a truck frame,or drive line. Body only ! Includes steel cab, with full fire wall, and full solid floor boards, (2) seats, (2) huge steel fenders, (1) 4 piece folding steel hood, front steel grill/radiator housing, with radiator, and 2 head lights , and clean Oregon title. Will load free on your trailer , or open truck at pick up site in North Carolina within 2 weeks of sale unless other agreement is made. On Mar-21-14 at 11:30:34 PDT, seller added the following information: The radiator housing / front grill assembly can easily be modified to match the firewall height . The lower grill strut valance can be removed and the grill struts ,and housing can be cut the distance to the top of the "crank hole " , removing approx, 8" and the lower valance can be re-attached , and it will look factory perfect. The current front grill housing height is approx,38" and the firewall height is approx,30" .
