Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a rare 1991 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition with ONLY 25,487 MILES on the original engine. This Jeep has only had one previous owner, my uncle, who used it for light driving to and from his beach house. I love this car so when he decided to sell I quickly snatched it up. However, now I’m moving & don’t have the time to get this Jeep back in tiptop shape. This Jeep is in very good condition for a 1991 and has extremely low miles. It comes with tons of accessories including the soft top, hard top & deck cover kit. If you are looking for a fun, dependable, go anywhere type Jeep then this is it! Nothing can beat driving a Wrangler with the doors off and top down on a nice sunny day! This is honestly one of the best vehicles in the world for recreational use. This Jeep gets plenty of power out of the six cylinder engine, handles well and turns on a dime. It is built like a tank. You don’t need to baby it at all. It is definitely one of the most fun vehicles I’ve driven and I’m sure you’ll feel the same way. Ideally, I would like to sell this to someone who is looking to fix it up but once it’s yours I guess that’s your decision. If you have the time to break this down for parts, you should be able to double your money easily. The seats alone pull over $1000. A new hard top costs $1600-$2K+. The original engine with only 25,487 miles will fetch several thousand dollars. The car runs well and the title is clean. The paint is in good condition except for a small rust spot near the passenger side door. This Jeep was kept in a garage for most of its life. However, this CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS because it has a rust issue which needs to be addressed before it is driven. I’m going for full disclosure so here are all the issues I’m aware of. The car was left outside during the past few winters in NY so I took it to a mechanic who told me the undercarriage is fairly rusted and there is a small crack in the frame that may be dangerous if not repaired. Part of the exhaust is also rusted out (see pic). I recently put this up on a Wrangler forum to get opinions. I was told there’s tons of metal to work with underneath & that fixing the problems with the undercarriage shouldn’t be an issue. I can send you the link to the forum post upon request (Ebay doesn’t let you post links). Please see the pictures of the undercarriage for more detail. There is also a crack on the front black plastic “Jeep” logo cover on the front bumper. All of these issues are shown in the pictures. You will be asked to sign a statement that you understand the above issues with the vehicle & that they should be corrected before driving. I do not want to hold any liability if someone buys this vehicle & continues to drive it without making the necessary repairs The interior is in astounding condition for a 1991. Everything is original & is still in excellent shape. The only issues inside are wear on the driver’s side mat and the leather lining on the driver side door needs to be tucked back under the panel. Both issues are shown in the pics. There are also wool seat covers my uncle used in the winter included. I took a picture with one on, but I just threw it on & didn’t fully install it. They look & feel great when put on properly. The exterior is also in very good condition. Besides the previously mentioned rust spot by the passenger door (shown in pic), the paint looks great. There is some slight wear/discoloration on the hood but it can only be seen if you stare at it from two feet away. One tire has a hole and needs to be replaced so there is currently a spare on the front passenger side. The other tires have about 25% tread left on them. One of the rims is missing the “Jeep” cap over the lug nuts. Besides those issues, the exterior really is in great shape for a 1991. See for yourself in the pictures. There are also many accessories included in this listing. Hard top, Soft top, trunk cover (deck cover), wool seat covers, fog lamps, original Sahara Edition tire cover (impossible to find), ice scraper, emergency roadside kid, all the original manuals and many other accessories. There is also an additional bar shown in the pics with the tire cover & fog lamps. My uncle gave this to me but I’m not entirely sure what it is. I believe it is some part of the soft top or deck cover. This is the most unmolested, factory grade Sahara that will be able to find anywhere. It even has the original Sahara Stickers on the front bumpers. I scoured the internet for hours to try & find a picture of one with the original tire cover & only found one. If you’re looking for a Sahara to make your own, this is the car for you. COMES WITH SOFT TOP, HARD TOP & DECK COVER! THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WHERE IT IS.
