1992 Ex -Oregon State Police/ Highway patrol vehicle. Here is a great 4 wheel drive State owned rig that just came out of service. The previous ownership history is as follows. Oregon State Police/Highway patrol owned the vehicle first. Then it went to a local Sheriff Agency, after that it was acquired by the local high school. They drove it only occasionally to run errands for the teachers,staff etc during the winter months.I recently purchased the truck and started to sort out the basic maintenance items. The school sold it due to meth heads stripping scrap metal off of the state cars in their lot. Notice the winch is missing as well as the air cleaner. I have since tracked one down. All new rotors, pads, drums, shoes ,master and booster. I don't like to take any chances on those items since it has sat for a while. Next I replaced the wipers, tires, rear hatch struts, light bulbs,headlights,dome lights and more. The heater works great, the a/c also gets very cold within a few minutes. The 4 wheel drive is also functional and works great. The interior is all there. A few split seams in the driver seat only. The headliner has a couple small sags but not bad.The truck is driven 3-4 times a weeks on local errands etc. I am only selling due to a new barn find Monaco Police car that takes priority over this great truck. Now for the items that need some attention, The paint is original and this is a very dry rust free vehicle as you can see. No hidden secrets here. The hood and top of the truck does have some patina/ thin spots from the sun and could be waxed and buffed or sprayed depending on your liking. This car starts, stops excellent and is completely functional as it sits. It does however have an issue that needs more investigation. All the gears in the trans shift and drive as they should without any slipping or hesitation at all. But when the cars goes into the the final overdrive gear I notice a shimmy of some kind. I turn off the overdrive and it goes away. Any Dodge truck mechanic can most likely remedy this issue with out to much trouble. I just don't have the time to get this resolved. Space for the cars is my biggest issue and the city runs a tight ship on old cars that are stored in driveways or don't move. Vehicle code enforcement is an on going issue in my area. If you are a Dodge fan and you like Ram chargers then I don't think you will be disappointed. They don't come around this clean and original that often any more. Thanks for looking.
