In 1994, Ferrari unveiled one of their most breathtaking models yet, the all new Pininfarin designed F355 Berlinetta and GTS. Replacing the aging 348 that had failed to impress enthusiasts and journalists, the 355 was one of the best moves for the company. It introduced F1 technology and a brand new race proven 5 valves per cylinder 3.5 8-clyinder engine which propelled the car to 60mph in 4.7 seconds. A unique F1 style under tray was given to the 355 after 1800 hours of wind tunneling to keep the car planted to the ground. A brand new synchromesh gearbox and electronically controlled adjustable shock absorbers made a vast improvement on the cars ride and performance. Lap tests on the famous Fiorano test track proved the 355 to be 2 seconds faster than its 12 cylinder brother and more nimble in the turns. Upon testing the new 355, Road and Track Magazine stated “probably the best sports car engine ever made” and “purest pure bred Ferrari yet”
European Motor Studio is proud to offer this exceptional 1 owner California 1998 Ferrari 355GTS finished in stunning and very rare Rosso Barchetta over Tan Connolly hides. This 355 left the Modena factory production line in September of 1997 and was invoiced to Ferrari North America. The car was sent to Houston Texas where it sold to its first owner on April 8th 1998. The car moved with its first and only owner to San Francisco area where it has lived ever since European Motor Studio brought the car to AZ. The car is stunning in this shade of Rosso Barchetta and fits the car beautifully. The paint still retains a beautiful deep shine and completely free from any scratches or damage (a few tiny stone ships in the front nose). The body of the car is completely rust and damage free and 100% straight. All of the original glass is still intact and free from any damage or cracks. The interior of the car is beautiful, all of the cars original Connolly leather shows very little wear and is still very soft and supple. The carpets are all stain and tear free and come from a smoke free environment. This 355’s dashboard, doors and center console all look excellent, and does not have that typical problem of crinkling or separating leather. All of the plastics have been completely refurbished and free from any peeling or sticky issues. All of the electrics and power options are in working order including the original Ferrari factory radio. All of the gauges and lights are working and the center gauge cluster is free from any warning lights. The exterior and interior lights are all functioning and the headlight pods work together in sync. Mechanically the car is outstanding, this 355 has had a full engine rebuild and full belt service by Ferrari of San Francisco. It runs and drives like the day it left the factory. The tires are newer with about 70% tread life left and the battery and breaks are newer. The original factory 5 spoke Ferrari wheels are in perfect shape and free from any scrapes or curb rash. This 355 comes complete with its original tools in its original leather bag, all of the original owners manuals and books, 4 keys and two remotes and all service history and records from brand new. The removable targa top is in perfect shape and looks almost new. This car comes with a clean and clear carfax and free from any accidents or damage and comes with a clean and clear Box A title.
