I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE FOR THIS!!! EBAY WOULD NOT LET ME LEAVE THAT OPTION BLANK!!!! Hello,this listing is for a rare 1948 Salsbury 85 motor scooter as-shown. This was recently pulled out of storage where it sat for over 15-years. The previous owner had owned this since about 1957. He passed away last year. The family was unable to locate a title for it,and I am unsure if it ever even had one. It needs to be restored,but appears to be complete except for the speedometer...however from my research it is possible that it never came with one. The engine is not stuck and turns freely,and the magneto does produce spark. I am thinking it will probably run with a little work. The tires hold air,but are old. The body has several small dents in it that can be seen in the pictures,and minor rust through in the lower rear tail section. The frame is solid. It appears to be all original except for the paint,I believe it used to be red or orange. The chain is off of it currently,but do have it. I want to keep and restore it myself,but that just won`t happen anytime soon. It is located in Burbank,IL zip 60459. You are welcome and urged to come view it in person first. It is also advertised for sale locally. I have set what I believe is a reasonable reserve on it based on what I have seen others sell for in similar/worse condition. I am requiring a $150.00 deposit due within 48-hours of listing end via PayPal. Please ask ANY questions first!!! Would like it payed for within 7-days of listing end.
