For sale an original, not restored 1969 T500 Titan. This bike was part of a collection that was purchased at auction over 10 yrs ago. Since purchase the bike sat in heated storage and had never been started or ridden. I bought the bike in Jul 2012 and started to work on it. This is the 1st 2-stroke I have owned since the mid 70's. Because it had sat so long it had many issues. Lots of stuff was dried out or stuck. I removed both wheels and cleaned and adjusted both front and rear brakes. I rebuilt both carbs and installed new gaskets and adjusted the float levels. I replaced the front gas tank cushions and drained and flushed the fuel tank. The clutch pack was stuck so I disassembled the clutch and cleaned and adjusted everything. All cables on the bike have been cleaned and lubed. I drained and refilled both front forks with new fork oil. The carbs have been synched and timing set. Compression is 110 L side and 120 R side All chrome parts on this bike are in great condition as you can see by the pictures. Paint is faded but you know its 45 yrs old. The new parts on the bike are: Front and rear tires, tubes and rim strips. Non-vacuum petcock and adapter ring Sealed agm battery and turn signal flasher. Kicker and shifter rubbers and Left handlebar grip. HD rear drive chain. Carb kits and spark plugs. l Exhaust pipe gaskets Intake to carb flange tubes and carb to air cleaner box rubber boot Assorted plastic washers, o rings, gaskets, and small items as needed. The bike has its original paint, chrome, seat and correct handlebars. It was the only year they used the diamond pattern on the seat. The speedometer and tachometer both work fine. All oil injection lines were removed and cleaned. The bike is a good starter and runs well up to 4000 rpms, then it loses power. I think it needs larger main jets in the carbs. I am not a 2 stroke specialist. I have restored and worked on many 4 stroke British, German, Italian and Japanese bikes. I am in the process of restoring a 69 Triumph and a 65 BMW right now and don't have any more time to devote to this one. It is time for me to thin the herd.
