Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a nice '89 325ix AWD - CLEAN AUTOCHECKClean car, engine in strong, runs and drives. The body and paint is is nice condition for its age. Bought this car to bring back a classic on the streets.Parts replaced: Left and right front CV axles (expensive!), spark plugs, windshield washer pump, muffler now is better since the ends were cut and not exceeding the apron (muffler shown on pic is before replacement), rear tails, engine check module, sway bar links, roundel emblems, intake boot, antenna motor and cover, air/fuel filter, trans filter and synthetic fluids, front center grille, door lock pins/door bezels and fog lights.Added: Front lip, Is rear spoiler (now painted black), Euro rear plate cover and a rare Racing Dynamics rear apron. A 325ix emblem is now on the trunk (not shown in pictures). The car being 25 years old, the transmission needs a little warm up and shifts normal after the engine gets closer to operating temperature. This is a common occurrence among e30's. I had it checked and was advised that the "voltage regulator or governor" needs to be replaced since the valve is sticking when cold and fine when warm (costs around $120). If you are a good DIY mechanic, you can replace this. I drive the car regularly and just warm it up before I go and it's fine after the initial symptom. The interior is very clean, dash is good, bucket seats are good just have a cover on them. Small front windshield hairline defect (left lower end corner) and does not obstruct the view. It has remained the same size since I took ownership. Kenwood CD tuner with smartphone input jack. A/C and heater works. Stock airbox is now on the car. I welcome any pre-purchase inspection since I want you to be confident in your purchase. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge, with continued maintenance this classic car should give you many years of driving enjoyment. The AWD is a blast to drive during the winter season. Car has very reasonable reserve with a buy it now way less than what very good condition ix's go for ($7000-8000). Car is also listed locally and have the right to end auction early. On Feb-28-14 at 19:57:48 PST, seller added the following information: I have uploaded an interior image and the governor part that causes the shift delay when cold during start-up, located at the tail end assembly of the trans. On Mar-01-14 at 07:53:33 PST, seller added the following information: Due to overwhelming e-mails I have received, I have added additional photos of interior, engine bay showing stock air box, windshield, rear image showing 325ix emblem & new muffler.I just also replaced the battery today with a new Bosch Premium as pictured. On Mar-04-14 at 16:18:24 PST, seller added the following information: Added video of the car shifting
