Vehicle Detail

HISTORY- Bought this car for my wife in 2003 when she was on her first deployment during the Iraq war. We both have driven the car occasionally but in the last 5 years it has rarely been driven, so it sits. We have a few Hot Rods and my wife prefers to drive the Mustang (automatic) over the Camaro. I have my own Camaro and a few other cars so this 74 seems to sit more than the others. It drives great, always starts and always runs. Very dependable and could be used as a daily driver if needed. Car is located just outside of Sacramento Area and can be inspected if needed. PAPERWORK- The car has a clear and clean California Title and is currently registered and insured. I have a package of receipts that comes with the car along with receipts from the previous owner. It comes with both California plates- The Caddel Chevrolet license plate frame does not come with the car. ENGINE-Runs great, has lots of power, no smoke and no leaks. Freshened up and low mileage 350 Vortec roller motor with ZZ4 cam, Engine has all new bearings, double roller chain, and high volume oil pump. Edelbrock intake, Rochester carb, Accel Coil, extra-large capacity radiator, headers, flowmaster dual exhaust. Has less than 5,000 miles since installed. I put this engine in because the old engine was tired and smoked a lot. The engine I replaced was not the original block and heads. Engine compartment dusty dirty from sitting. TRANSMISSION- Numbers matching (VIN#) Borg Warner Super T-10, with HD 11” clutch and Pressure plate. No noises from transmission, Has the original Hurst shifter with the reverse lockout and steering wheel lock. I don’t know if trans has ever been rebuilt, does have small drip from old gasket. REAR END- 3.73 Posi-traction rear that was completely rebuilt with new clutches, bearings, brakes, wheel cylinders, etc. Has less than 5000 miles. This rear was done at the same time as engine. INTERIOR- Seats in great shape no rips, new carpet, headliner, Custom Autosound stereo with amp under passenger seat, cord for ipod or phone to play your music. Floors were sealed with POR-15 when new carpet was installed. I have a new hard plastic dash cap that comes with the car (uninstalled). The Dash, bezel, steering column and wheel needs cleaning or repaint or replace. Tach does not work and have not checked out why. Has 3 gauge setup below dash (oil, temp, Volts), Gas gauge works fine, lights and turn signals, heater all work fine. Sail panel has a crack and vinyl paint coming off 1 rear inside panel as shown in pic. SUSPENSION-Monroe gas shocks all the way around, FRONT-front a frame bushings have been replaced before I got the car, don’t know how old they are. Steering is tight with no noises from the front end. Front brakes and bearings good. REAR- Sway bar and leaf spring bushings replaced about 5000 miles ago. Added Competition Engineering traction bars with “J” bolt kit to delete any wheel hop. (When engine was replaced rear axle would hop thru second gear under hard acceleration). Tires have decent tread but are getting older. BODY- Car was repainted same color before I got it, I added the decal a long time ago. Body is very straight with no dents or rust. Factory primer shows in trunk and under car. Paint is getting old and could either be repainted or even touched up. (scratches). The decal has some cracks, the weather stripping is old. All glass is good and windows roll up and down no problem. Door hinges have been replaced or rebuilt, Bumpers and spoilers are in great condition. Car looks like a “Survivor” car straight from 1974. EXTRA PARTS- Car comes with: factory original aluminum valve coversoriginal Rochester Carburatororiginal intake manifoldsmog pump.
