Vehicle Detail
Nearly original and much loved, I am the 4th owner of this car. Repainted in original colors with modern paint some years ago due to a fender bender (I have photos). Starts easily, runs and drives well. New clutch and rebuilt transmission 2,000 miles ago, rebuilt fuel pump and carb last year. Garaged for most of the time I’ve know of this car and I try to drive it weekly. A pleasure to drive, this car makes people smile-- especially the owner. Upholstery, carpet, and interior is original and in great shape. The front seat covers have been replaced but the rear seat covers are original and starting to break down. The headliner is the original hard liner and in excellent condition. Includes original owners manual. Lots of misc. spare parts are included if desired, including a new head, new set of re-built brake shoes, and starter. I have a new set of rubber door seals. A full AMC maintenance manual is included. An after-market radio/casette player has been added by the last owner. No zero-feedback buyers please. I will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate genuine buyers but I will not transfer ownership or possession until my bank and I are completely satisfied with payment. On Feb-27-14 at 10:57:33 PST, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: The milage I reported originally is off by 1,000. Actual milage is 44,200. From another question that I failed to include below:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Dear ddccbb,Is the vibration damper in goo condition? Are the travel bed brackets with the car? Is the jack still wit the car? Are the truss rods still attached?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've just uploaded a few more pics of this car. I mis-spoke in my last email-- the original jack IS still in the trunk. There is a pic of the vibration damper. It looks to be in good shape to me but I don't necessarily know if I'd be able to see a problem. The truss rods do not look like the ones in the service manual but I've uploaded some pictures of them as well in case you are more familiar with how it should look than I am. -ddccbb
