It has been heavily modified and customized.This is my 3-rd cx500 build in 6 months, but by far my favorite. The build was a complete tear down to the last nut-thats how i build my bikes. Contact me to find out how this bike was build and for my previous builds.Most of the fabricated parts are truly unique. The primer, base coat and clear coat is professional Acrylic Urethane. It has a very long list of fabricated,new and customized parts. This is the list:-The frame was modified to fit the seat, prepped, primed and painted with Bill Hirsch base coat(hot rod builders preference). The primer and clear coat is SprayMax 2K.-The wheels, swing arm were prepped,primed,painted and clear coated with the above products.-The front forks were completely rebuilt with 15w fork oil and prepped, primed,painted and clear coated.-The engine had the rear cover off and the stator replaced. 9k miles on the engine.The engine was painted with Bill Hirsch paint.All the details and bolts were polished. -The valves were adjusted to the Honda specs.-Hand built Aluminum foot pegs.-Custom exhaust system with 2 into 1 pipes. Coupled with SS muffler from Lossa Engineering.-Custom fabricated Aluminum tach instrument.-Modified upper triple for the tach.-Fabricated front and rear fenders.-Custom fabricated seat and mounts for the new rear shock.-New aftermarket master cylinder with polished and rebuilt piston brake system.-New Clubman bars with refurbished controls and shortened cables.-Neutral and oil light. Plus an oil thermometer gauge.-Carburetors were rebuilt,polished and properly jetted.-The tank has been treated inside,coated and has no rust.-The whole cooling system was cleaned and radiator boiled in hot water.-Brand new whitewall sport tires.-Ignition is relocated in the swing arm.The gel battery and wiring is hidden under the engine in the battery box.-Every bolt and nut was replaced with new ones or polished. Stainless steel bolts in the seat mount.-New headlight brackets and Renthal grips.-Rebuilt and polished honda original horn.-The wiring has been extensively reworked but i retained all the original plugs.-New aftermarket led brake and turn signal lights.-The side stand is from a cbr900 that was shortened and the frame modified to fit. Im sure i missed some stuff, so don't hesitate to ask questions. Here is a video of a walk thru of the bike.And a video of the bike running-i had to do a gravity fed on it because its been very cold in the single digits here in Michigan in the past months, and i wanted to give the tank liner more time to dry before i can put gas in it.The temp outside was 3F and in my garage 40F at this moment.Make sure to watch in HD. The balance is required in 5 days thru certified check,money order or cash.If Paypal is used, buyer is responsible for imposed fee-No exceptions. Just to give a few examples, shipping to Florida is $300-400. Shipping to California is $400-$600, Texas is $400-500 thru Uship. This 1980 Honda cx500 comes without warranty. This bike can be ridden by any person of any caliber. For example here is my wife at 120lbs, and me at 200lbs. Also failed to mention that most of the bolts were tightened to the specified Honda torque value,and i used the proper blue and red Loctite for the appropriate bolts and nuts. Thats including all the frame and engine bolts.I had questions that someone needs a speedometer instead of the tachometer. I will switch them if necessary.Also i will add front turn signals if required to pass your state inspection.A couple more things-the bike has a new aftermarket fuel petcock-the exhaust headers are painted with 2000F high heat paint and wrapped in fiberglass wrap.-starter has been cleaned and polished-final drive has been greased and oiled by the Honda specs The bike is 100% street legal, but every state is different.So by winners request i will install the front turn signals if necessary to pass the inspection. The bike has rear turn signals,stop and brake light, front head light and a license plate bracket.Here it is and its going to be mounted on the swing arm.Now, i did not install it yet, because several states do not allow vertical plates, so again by winners request i will build a horizontal license plate bracket if needed.
