Up for sale is a 1985 Toyota 4 Runner SR5. I purchased this vehicle 4 years ago & have driven it all over the US for my job.You notice this 1985 doesn't look like its age- it still gets questions & comments all time I drive it. Current condition mechanical:Body & frame does have 408,000 miles on it.Paint is original on body & top- still shines.Engine was fully replaced with Grooms long block, since this I have put over 60,000 miles on motor.Motor does have lifetime warranty that is transferable upon purchase.Engine oil changed every 3000 miles at Toyota, receipts documenting this.Axles have been rebuilt, gears are 4:56 to offset the 33X10.5X15 BFG mud terrains. Brakes have been replaced with new toyota pads, rotors resurfaced & drums turned.Tires are currently at 60% and purchased thru Discount Tire- rotated & balanced every 3 thousand miles.All fluids changed & running Lucas in transmission, transfer case, diffs AC blows cold, last year replaced compressor, clutch, dryer & expansion valve- converted to 134A.Heat will keep you toasty during winter.Rear drive shaft rebuilt & balanced. Aftermarket parts:ARB bumper included in sale; I do have original bumper.Header is LC Eng. Suspension is ARB Old Man Emu 2.5 lift w/ grease able spring pins4:56 gears MArlin Crawler Rock railsBFG Mud tires Pioneer CD player with aux input I drove this 4runner for my job all over the US & no issues. Still would be but job has changed & must carry folks work so must have 4 door.IF your looking for a reliable classic 4runner this is it. No rust, reliable, and still classic. ONLY known issues- windshield cracked, scratch on tail gate, center console lid missing, paint is faded on hood & roof, exhaust leak on manifold. Everyday I drove this for work & never let me down.
