Vehicle Detail
I am reluctantly selling my 1994 BMW R100R. It is in excellent running and cosmetic condition. Cosmetically not mint, but pretty darn good. Seat could use a re-die, see photos, as the black die has worn off in some places, and bike could use a thorough cleaning. My hand was broken and in a cast (dog bite) when photos were taken so I could only give it a lick and a promise. For those of you familiar with these bikes, you know that this bike comes close to perfect as you can get for a touring bike: 5.7 gallon fuel tank, hard bags, rear rack, heated grips, windshield, wired with BMW plug, and a plug for a battery tender, friction cruise control, shaft drive, oil cooler, etc. The tires are tubeless so all you have to do is carry a tire plugging kit. If you put handguards and a skid plate on this bike you would have a R1000GS. The bike is light weight and great around town as well. Hard bags are big enough to carry a turkey home from the supermarket, which I did last year. The bike has 24,856 miles on it, but I may add a few more before the auction ends. Auction includes a spare seat, an incomplete toolkit, a tank bra with a map case and two side pockets. See Photos. The handlebar RAM GPS mount is not included. This is my favorite of all the motorcycles I have owned and now own. Simple story, I need the money. Title is in hand. I believe that the Buy it Now price for this bike is a fair price; however, the Reserve price is set well below the Buy it Now price for those of you who want to take their chances. This model does not come up for sale often. I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours, and the balance in cash, money order, cashier’s check, or personal check; however, the bike will not be released until all funds clear. The bike is located in Alpine, Texas. If you live in the area, you may view the bike, and if you have a motorcycle endorsement on your license, take it for a short test ride. You may call me at (423) 774-471zero. Shipping arrangements must be made by the buyer, although I am retired and am available pretty much all of the time to coordinate with your shipper. (Many buyers use Uship or other shippers available online). If you pick the bike up in person, and feel that it is not as I have described, I will refund your deposit. I will deliver the bike within a 300 mile radius for $.80 per mile, my cost. So 300 miles would come out to $240.
