The odometer showed 28,741 when I purchased this bike about 9 1/2 years ago. The bike was assembled in the Honda facility in Marysville, Ohio in November 1979. I have ridden this bike some 13,500 miles and have enjoyed every minute of it. The bike had an engine problem when I purchased it and I immediately contracted with JimZ of Cincycycles East to rebuild the motor - the motor was rebuilt at 28,741 miles. There are no dents in the fuel tank and all the nonmetallic parts have no cracks or fissures in them and the side covers have all 6 original tabs. The title is a clear, clean, non-encumbered and lien free Kansas title. For the techs the motor is #SCO3E-2001826. Non-original parts - motor - a Wiseco 1147 big bore kit; 1979 intake and exhaust camshafts; 1979 advancer; Dyna coils, wires and ignition; Stage 3 Dynojet carb kit with 130 main jets and pods. Non-original parts - frame etc. - Earls 10-row oil cooler using parts made by Clint Hooper and John Smarsh; a Winning exhaust system; a CBX-tras alternator; fork brace; Progressive fork springs; Works Performance shocks; Pingel fuel valve; Hondaline Sport Kit package; chrome cam cover, clutch cover, advancer cover and oil line covers and Pistol Pete's refurbished gauges updated to 1979 CBX specifications. If you are a beginner, you may not wish to purchase this bike - the handlebars are more forward and down from stock handlebars and the rider footpegs are moved rearward. This results in a more forward riding position and may not be suitable for you. If the winning bid exceeds my original reserve, I will include with the bike - a front and rear wheel for the 1980 CBX; left and right footpeg plates for the "American" style of CBX; a left side mirror and a 2XL helmet. I will accept any check you wish to issue, but be reminded that the bike will not be released until all monies have been credited to my bank account for my personal use. There will be more miles put on this bike than those indicated in the auction - not a huge amount, but I am still riding this bike. This bike has also been advertised elsewhere and so this auction might be terminated early.
