2006 Prius Hybrid - with new hybrid batteries installed by dealer I am the 3rd owner and have owned the car for almost 3 years. The car runs excellent and is an excellent commuter. I am only selling because I desperately needed a car pool lane car and bought a plugin hybrid. Cosmetically, yes, it could use some touching up. If I were going to keep it, I'd probably repaint the hood and bumper. The interior is in great condition and everything works. Just around 127,000 miles, the car started to give warning lights. After being stranded and then taking the car to the dealer, they found that the hybrid batteries were failing. Since the hybrid system is warranted for 150,000 miles, the dealer replaced them at no cost. The car now has effectively, 28,600 miles on the new hybrid batteries. As you can imagine, the batteries are very expensive and they are the heart of the car. If you are looking at high milage cars, please take my case as a warning.
