Vehicle Detail
2003 Toyota Prius For Sale by Original Owner Body and Interior in great condition. Small bottle of touch up paint included in sale. Upholstery is in great condition-no dogs, no children. Floor mats show regular wear but carpet underneath looks very good. Clear paint protector on hood and side mirrors (can be removed by buyer). All stickers will be removed before turning over to buyer. Minimal dings and nicks consistent with regular use as shown in pictures: -Small dent/scrape below bottom of rear drivers side door. -Small dent/scrape on rear bumper -Crack in windshield on passenger side. -Small nicks in paint above and to the sides of the clear bra Front Passenger side door power lock does not work (must lock/unlock by hand). Every other feature is in good running condition (air conditioning, power windows and locks, cd player, digital display) no navigation installed. Tires-All weather, purchased new from Sears in April of 2013 It runs great! Has had regular maintenance with high mileage synthetic oil blend. Battery: This car is running on the original battery. I have had no issues with it. There are no warning lights and there has been no sign of failure. Likely this is because more than 60% of the miles I have put on this car have been on the highway. Continuous driving at higher speeds uses the engine and puts very little wear on the battery (unlike stop and go driving). I have only once gotten the "tortoise warning light" and that was when I warmed it up on a morning when it was -4 degrees outside (the warning light went off after 20 minutes and has not returned). Another major factor that has been found to lead towards hybrid battery failure is heat. My Prius has not been subjected to high temperatures on a regular basis because I have not lived in hot places. The hottest place we have lived was Boise, Idaho, and we had a garage to protect it. I have decided I need to have an AWD vehicle to help me get around better in the mountains where we just moved and that is why I am selling it. Otherwise, I would keep this car as long as possible. I'm going to miss it :(. I have checked the Prius forums and there is, to my knowledge, no battery check I can do on this model. Everything described to the best of my knowledge. Please look at the pictures and ask questions!
