HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL:..... I understand your concern of a salvage title. The salvage titles are usually placed on collision cars, flood cars, etc. What results some times is air bags, sensors, abs sensors or structural damage is "Patched UP" and never corrected and it results in Title issues and other problems. This car and the type of damage that brought about the Salvage Title is much different and easier to correct as it was due to a monetary issue of paint and conv top repair cost, that meets or exceeds the Ins. company's typical threshold of apx. 60-65%. The States wants to make sure a salvage car is restored to factory "safe condition and properly operational". They require that you have the vehicle pass a "state inspection" before they deem the car road worthy again. Unfortunately some People cheat by not replacing air bags, sensors etc., to sell the salvage cars. Fortunately this car did not sustain any actual body damage or collision damage. This car could be driven to the local State inspection station and none of those issues apply. Paint scratches or cuts on the conv. top do not matter at all in a State Safety inspection. So I hope that helps to relieve your concerns. After the Inspection is made you take that to your Vehicle Registration Office with The Title and it can be transferred just as any other Title. Some States note that it is Reconditioned. We have the title in our name ready to be transferred. I apologize for rambeling on, but I am just as cautious about the salvage titles as you and had this car been totaled due to those other causes. I to would be cautious in my purchasing. This car can be repaired for far less than the Insurance would be obligated to spend. For example the dealer charges $2260.00 for a Jaguar Top just for the top and you have to wait weeks for their supplier to make it. The Insurance Co. has you in a rent car for wks @ $25.00 per day etc. Those type of Economical Expenses bring about the excess cost, that creates this type of Cost Effective decision when the Insurance makes an Economical Salvage decision, & it enables you to save by your choice of the $300.00 Top on Ebay & By you Choosing which scratches need paint or buffing or even repairing, etc. It should have the Top replaced $300.00? Easy decision. But as you can see by the photos the Painting could be debatable. It's a Very Pretty Car and can be driven anywhere as is? HOPE THIS HELPS. I would be happy to show the car or make it available for an inspection. I will assist w/your shipper in meeting around Dallas. You are buying a USED CAR, it is not a NEW CAR. I am selling it like 95% of the others on Ebay AS-IS. You are not bidding on time to come out and kick the tires. Check w/your wife that this is OK and if you have the Money then click Buy Button. The car is a super Deal. Also, the antenna mast is broken & I do not have the Remote Clicker, clicker is $280 @ Jaguar $85 on Ebay. I HAVE PRICED THE CAR TO SELL FAST, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED I WOULD MOVE ON IT! KBB shows this car is valued at $13,350.00
