I am selling my Honda XR650L from 1994. This is a well maintained, sturdy bike with ~34,000 miles on it. It has a number of functional aftermarket modifications -Big Gun exhaust, which makes a delightful and distinctive thumper sound -The air intake box has been opened up to improve flow, and it has been fitted with a K&N air filter. After I added this I noticed a dramatic improvement in the bike's performance. It was quicker to start up, without the choke, and power delivery is smoother throughout the revs -Rejetted carburetor, smog blockoff kit -Manracks rear frame rack perfect for carrying camping gear, extra helmets, backpack, etc. -IMS 4.0 gallon gas tank, giving the bike ~200 mile range if you are conservative with the throttle, and ~175 mile range if you're having a little fun with it. I have enjoyed this bike as a weekend toy, it does very well on or off road. Currently, the bike is fitted with Avon Distanzia tires which are optimized for road use. The front tire is a little worn, (~5,000 miles on it) but the rear tire is a fresh (~2,000 miles) I have changed the oil approximately every 2,000 miles, using Mobil 1 synthetic 10W40. . The front brake pads have about 500 miles on them and the rears about 1,000, brake fluid was changed about 3,000 miles ago, both brakes are very responsive. It is easy to repair and maintain and I have a comprehensive repair manual I can include with it. Parts, even through the dealership, are remarkably cheap. It weighs about 350lbs fully loaded. Honda has been making this exact bike for many years and there is an extensive aftermarket for parts and upgrades. It is very powerful for a single cylinder bike and can easily pass cars at freeway speeds. I have fitted it with 14T/45T sprockets from JT sprockets, which makes highway riding more comfortable. The registration is good through March 2014.
