This bike is being relisted due to an eBay contract dispute. I purchased this bike over 10 years ago, have ridden it more than 14,000 miles and I believe that I am the third owner. I believe also that the mileage is accurate as shown. The date of manufacture of this bike is August 1978 and while it looks somewhat stock, the bike has a lot of non-original pieces in it. For example, the fuel tank is from an earlier model CBX that was painted by Dick Gunderson of Columbus, Ohio and there is some pinstriping on the front fender. The carburetors were rebuilt by Cincycycles earlier this year and they remain perfect. There are no dents on the tank, there are no cracks in the tailpiece and each side cover has the original tabs fully in place. The bike is ready to ride and I will guarantee that the bike will draw a crowd wherever it goes. Although I believe this bike is not a show bike, it did win the first place prize in the Mild Custom category at the Capital Cities Bike Show earlier this year. Some of the non-original parts: Dyna ignition, wires and coils; Pipemaster exhaust system; Progressive fork springs; Works Performance shocks; chrome cam cover, alternator cover, oil line covers, clutch cover and advancer cover; stainless steel brake lines; 530 chain along with 18/40 sprockets; Dynojet Stage 1 Jet Kit; drilled front and rear brake rotors; Pingel fuel petcock; Randakk's carburetor isolators and clamps; Pistol Pete's restored gauges and new right and left handlebar switches from Z-1 Enterprises, 1982 Honda CBX 5-row oil cooler and a fork brace. I have thoroughly enjoyed the bike for all the years I have owned it. If the new owner rides it and keeps it as well maintained as I have, the bike will last forever. Also, the bike comes with the original tool kit, the 1979 riders manual and I will give the winning bidder a front and rear wheel for a 1979 CBX along with a 2XL helmet and the first place trophy. And, if purchaser needs time in order to get shipping needs calculated and if the funds are paid in full, I will store the bike in my living room for up to 4 months from the auction close or until such sooner time as the shipper is ready to pick up. I will accept any check be it personal, certified or cashiers but I wish it to be fully understood that the bike will not leave my living room until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available to my use. You are welcome to come and view the bike and listen to it run. Weather permitting, it could also be available to be ridden, again depending upon full payment.
