Here is a real jewel, it’s the second year of the full size El Camino. Only about 14,000 were produced in 1960 before production was halted due to slow sales. The El Camino did not re-appear until 1964 on the smaller Chevelle chassis making the 59 and 60 fairly rare. This particular El Camino is trimmed out at the Impala level which seems to be extremely rare. It’s all original with the small block V8 but with a modern carbourator, updated ignition and 4-speed transmission. The car has nice paint, new chrome, new windscreen, power steering and is completely sorted out. The only problem I’ve experienced is with the gearbox. It shifts forward perfectly but the back-shift from 4th into 3rd seems rather stiff. Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle.
