1948 Dodge Truck (Rat Rod) ****There is over $1500 in New Parts**** $350 in the new Carb alone less than 2 months ago*** True Rat Rod! Most all parts were take outs from other projects. THE NEW, New electrical for lights, New lights all around, New Head light and turn switches (wired with 4-blade plug for trailer). New Aluminum Radiator and overflow tank, Elect cooling fan, Water pump, New Oil, Temp, Volt gauges. New gear reduction drive starter. New single wire Alt. New Holley Carburetor. New side windows being installed in the next few days. New Headers and Cherry Bombs. New Brake shoes, Lines, and Wilwood Master Cylinder. New Shocks. New U-Joints. (All has been done in the last 2 years but it has not been driven more than 100 miles in that time) The OLD, It has an old Small Block Chevy **Needs replaced** in it with an old Automatic **Needs replaced**. High Rise Intake, Ram Air Butterfly Scoop, Stock rear diff and front suspension. Custom floor starter switch made from the old floor start button. Floor shifter is out of a corvette. Fuel Tank made from old 15 Gal drum that was used for and still labeled as racing fuel. Fuel fill spout was a oil fill spout from an old Rolls Royce. Tires and wheels are take offs from a old hot rod we upgraded tires and wheels on. The Drive line was made from 2 - Chevy and the one out of the Dodge. THE UGLY, The whole truck... That is the look I was after! The steering gear box is a little sloppy (gets squirrely at high speeds) so I would not suggest trying to commute in it. The gearing is off so you get to 3rd gear pretty fast and feel like you would want one more gear to shift into. She is cold blooded you want to let it warm up before you put into gear. The Heater core and blower motor is still there, Wiper motor, and Radio... they were all working when it was running the 6volt sys but I did not hook them back up. So don't drive in the rain till you fix it. Speedometer not working so I just go with the flow of traffic. Wood floor of bed in bad shape so it has a custom piece of plywood laying over it. No Horn. So it is a cool little rat rod, It has lots of cool fabrication all over it and some that was obviously rushed (Totally functional just not pretty (like the Radiator Mounts)). Continue to dink around with it to make it more what you'd like. Tags are current and registration is good till May 2014 ***SOLD AS IS * IT IS A RUNNING PROJECT THAT NOW NEEDS AN ENGINE AND TRANS***
