Vehicle Detail
YESTERDAY I LISTED THIS BIKE AS A 1983 AND PER THE SERIAL NUMBER IT IS ACTUALLY A 1982, THE 10TH DIGIT IS A "C". I bought this bike last spring because it is exactly like my first bike when I was 18 years old. It is a beautiful bike with high miles. It obviously has never been left or stored outside. It starts and runs. I have it titled and insured for me only as a rider. There is no evidence that it has been down and I have never dropped it. This is a scary fast bike, its like a slingshot. It wasn't scary when I was 18 years old but now that I am 49 almost 50, I don't like it! This model was one of the first superbikes that came out after the KZ's etc. in the 70's, being an early 80 bike it is very prestigeous and alot of people are trying to find these for their collection. My wife and I bought a putter Harley last year so We have been riding the Harley slowly while the Suzuki sits and sits : ( . I would start it and ride it to the Vintage Japanese bike shows and people would drool over this one! I also have a 93 CB750 that I have been restoring so this takes all my time too. i have a dual sport too so I'm like, "when can I work on this Suzuki?". Condition Continued from top: I am trying to tell you everything wrong with this bike because I dont want you to have any bad surprises after you buy it. If you read above in the condition description I listed all this bikes negatives and positives as far as condition that I know of. The pictures were taken today 131123 Saturday. It needs to stay on a battery tender like all bikes and you have to squeeze the clutch hard to un-engage the clutch safety. The mileage indicator seems to act funny, I put about 400 miles on it but the speedometer reads less than when I bought it so I dont know whats up with that. I Put new Accel Coils on this bike they were about $200. I put new diaphragms in the tops of all four carbs, I never got to the jets or took the carbs off. The bike is very ridable. There is no horn. Some one took the horns off when they installed the oil cooler, that was before I bought it. Please look very closely at the pictures and contact me with any questions or if you need additional pictures I will be happy to send to you. How far can the bike be ridden? Probably as far as you can stand it, its not a far riding style bike though for what its worth. Warning; Before you bid (not my policy but eBay's): When you bid on this bike you are entering into a contract to buy it. Look at pictures and read the entire listing carefully. Read Ebay motors policies too. If you are the high bidder when the auction is over then you have to pay for the bike and take it home. Regretfully you dont get to decide after the auction is over whether you want the bike or not. When you come to pick it up, you pick it up and go home. You have to decide if you want the bike or not BEFORE you bid on it and bid accordingly, thats how you buy it for cheap. If you want to see it, Schedule with me and I will show you the bike and let you see it run, see it ride etc. You can test ride the bike only after you arrange insurance for full replacement of bike payable to me (seller) in case you wreck it during your test ride. We can get my insurance company to cover your test ride with all your pertinent information. Payment: after you win the auction, a $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of end of auction if not sooner into my PayPal account. This shows me you are serious about buying this bike. If this does not happen, then I will open a case and re-list the bike. Shipping, You the buyer must arrange for shipping. I will meet your shipper and your shipper will load the bike, not me. It usually costs around $600 (depends on many factors) to ship bikes but is based on who you call and if they are traveling empty etc. etc. If you are a member of the American Motorcyclist Association, I know they offer discounted shipping services, but that is up to you.
