1981 DMC DeLorean 5 Speed TURBO DMC-12 I'm selling my 1981 DeLorean. It is a 5 speed manual and is equipped with a BAE turbo system. It has just over 40,000 original miles and is in great cosmetic condition. It has been sitting for a number of years in a garage but I did get it to start, run and drive by messing with the fuel pump a bit. It is a little hard to start when cold and doesn't run at full power so it needs to be properly gone through to clean the fuel system (may need a new pump since it doesn't seem to be working at full pressure), spark plugs, change the fluids, it has an exhaust leak, etc... the usual maintenance for a car that was stored away for years. The clutch feels fine, transmission shifts into every gear, and brakes work as they should. The stainless steel body is in exceptional condition, very straight with no visible dings or dents. The interior is complete and in very good condition with very minor wear - no splits, cuts, tears, etc... and all the original panels and trim are in tact. It has new door struts and many other extra parts are included like replacement belts, gaskets, complete original tool kit, original spare tire (in perfect condition, never used), etc... It is a great head-turner that needs a little love and time invested in order to become a top-quality collector car.
