1979 Trans Am - vehicle is currently located in the Hartford county in Connecticut Overall, this vehicle is in good condition, but should recognize that the vehicle is over 30 years old. I've only owned the vehicle for 6 months and unfortunately a relocation is forcing me to sell. In the 6 months of my possession, the car has been flawless in getting me to my destinations, some being over 200 miles away. Looking on eBay today, this will be a very good deal for someone. Engine:The engine is a non-numbers matching 400ci with automatic transmission. The previous owner indicated that the engine was rebuilt. I will provide the engine stamping as soon as I can. The intake manifold casting #10003395 indicates it is from a 1978-79 400 engine. One issue I've noted is that the car has a very slow leak with power steering fluid. You will also note that the air conditioning unit is not there (I do not have that), along wi a non-standard air filter (I don't have the original air assembly). Exterior:I've tried to capture photos of the most worrisome and problematic areas of these cars, especially for any signs of rust. As you can see this is a very solid car with no rust issues. You will see some paint chipping on the front of the car, but everywhere else is good. The rear wheel side spoilers are not currently on the car, but I do have them and will be included in the purchase. Also, the driver door has some issues, with worn out exterior window seal, which a replacement will be included. And the door lock is frozen, however, a new door lock will also be sent along. If there are additional photos I can send along, please let me know. Interior:The interior is in average-good shape. The seats look very good, headliner is in fine shape, and the carpet is good. The interior door panels are in ok shape. The turn signal lever has a temporary fix, as I've not been successful finding an exact replacement yet. The dash has 3 cracks, which you will also see in the photos. Also, the tach unit with clock does not work. This vehicle is being sold as is, no warranty.
