We bought this Shadow for my son to ride with us on average length weekend trips. He is in college now and it's time to share this fine machine with someone else. As you can see from the photo taken in my toy barn, we own around 14 motorcycles. I have bought ( and sold ) most of them on Ebay. I am an excellent 100% feedback ebayer, and a picky buyer. I'm careful upfront because I always plan to sell the bikes after a while and get something different. This is a super clean, super running Shadow. ( See up close engine photos ) If you are not familiar with the 1100, here is what you will experience if you buy the bike. It is geared very tall which is perfect for cruising. If you are not familiar with that term, it means that this is not the bike that will wheelie through the first three gears. This is the motorcycle that purrs at 70, then you shift into 5th gear. Long revs, slow shifting makes this shaft drive bike a pleasure on the highway. I just put a new Metzler rear tire on the bike and a new windshield ( then my son tells me to sell ). It has custom handlebars shown in the photos which are very comfortable. There are also some other chrome additions along with a tank pouch, a back rest and a rear seat pouch. The previous buyer added some flame pinstriping which I did not remove and is also visible. This water cooled shaft drive bike is very unique. If you are not used to the forward controls it will take a ride or two, but then you will enjoy strecthing out and not moving you feet back to center to shift and brake. Our shadow is currently registered and inspected in Texas. We live in Lakeway which is a suburb of Austin. I am also a pilot and have a 6 passenger plane. If you live in Texas ( and cover the airplane gas ) I'll fly to wherever you are to pick you up so you can ride the bike home. Find that offer anywhere else on Ebay. I'm setting this up as a no reserve auction. Serious buyers can request a buy it now price and I may do it depending upon how the auction is running. ( I have bought some of my bikes that way from sellers eager to end the auction and get it done ). Low, negative or zero feedback bidders will be cancelled. I'll take a Pay Pal deposit, then certifed funds before releasing the bike. Shipping is on your own but I have had excellent luck with the Ebay subsidiary Uship.
