This is a really neat project car for someone...built at the Southgate plant here in California...looks like the car has never left the state...it was taken apart for a restoration that was never completed. Originally Biloxi Beige with a white top..you can see the original beige in spots. Has one repaint to the black that you see but it was a cheap paint job and needs redoing...looks like it wasnt block sanded and there are some waves in the quarter panels and other long flat panels that a proper paint job would have corrected. Doesnt look like it has ever been in an accident and everything fits quite well. Look how nicely the trunk lid fits and panel gaps. Overall a very near rust free car...floors are great, trunk floor too. Has an old patch panel on the bottom few inches of the drivers door that needs redoing and there was a strip of metal in the trunk floor nearest the back of the car that was redone. That particular patch isnt the prettiest as viewed from underneath but is ok. Still has its hydramatic trans and looks to have been power steering and brakes..also has an underseat heater setup. When I bought this car I had all the trim laid out and matched it up to the car to see what was here and what was missing. I focused on the stuff that is unique to the 2 door hardtop which would be the harder stuff to find. I didnt see any unique parts as missing...in fact its here and repolished and in quite nice shape. The side trim is all complete..the window trim..have the bumpers, guards and even the headliner bows. What is missing is one of the small quarter spears that is generic to all 54 Pontiacs and I think one or two of the stars on the quarter panels..also generic. I would replace the waterfall trim they have little dents and those are generic too. So all in all...look at the pics and see that alot of work has already been done..all the stainless has been repolished. There might be a few dings in the stainless trim but the side trim stuff is nice. Have all the glass too. No engine...you can find one locally as most of these cars are being hot rodded or drop in the V8 of your choice.. All four wheels are original to the car and for transportation purposes rolls and steers just fine on tires that hold air. Needs restoration but a great foundation to start with...no rust out on the body...nearly all the trim here and in nice shape...all the seats, door top trim, seat skirts, rear seat armrests are all here. Rare car...its a one year only body style with the long quarter panels...a very beautiful car..has its original vin and trim tags and the car is off the DMV computers..its been off the road for decades...will be sold with a bill of sale.
