Vehicle Detail

For your consideration is a 2000 Trans Am...its a factory WS-6 car that is unique in many ways. It is an original low mileage car...under 73k...it also is a 6 speed manual and original black on black. When this car had about 50k miles a previous owner spent a TON of money on upgrades...below is a bullet point list of what the car comes equipped with; Engine: LS6 Intake manifold Ported throttle body 42 lb green top injectors Ported 241 heads ATI Super Damper balancer SLP 1 7/8 long tube headers Volant air intake Spal fans NGK iridium spark plugs/MSD spark plug wires Comp cam (mild) Oil just changed with Mobil 1 full synthetic Transmission: T56 6 speed Textralia X grip clutch Hurst short throw shifter Hurst leather shift knob (Mint) Exhaust: SLP 3" Y pipe Borla 3" loud mouth Electrically operated cutout in the exhaust system...makes it louder and quieter Brakes: Ceramic brake pads/slotted and drilled rotors..freshly painted calipers Suspension: Strut tower bar Tubular Panhard bar Tubular adjustable torque arm Tubular adjustable lower control arms Welded sub frame connectors Drive shaft safety loop Rearend: Moser 12 bolt (33 spline axles) 3.73 gears Aluminum rear cover Wheels and Tires: New 17x9 ZR1 replica wheels wrapped with 275/40/17 nitto 555 tires 1.5" SLP lowering springs Interior: Very nice shape...would rate it at a 9 out of 10, seats are in great condition...dash has a little crack on the panel closest to the front window... door panels have one crack each in the top piece that always cracks on these..comes with t-top covers...has an amplifier and Sony Kicker subwoofer setup. Exterior: Very nice shape too, hood needs to be repainted due to clear coat issues... straight and paint is in very good condition otherwise. What is unique about this car is that it is reminiscent of a magazine build. Normally an enthusiast gets his hands on a car like this when it is longer in the tooth and a little more worn out...then does his upgrades. All the stuff was done to this car when it had 50K miles..essentially a new car...this WS-6 has mostly been a toy. The car also is one of the best looking F bodies around...is it the best looking one? I wont make that claim..but whenever its taken to a cruise in, its the nicest one in my opinion. This car was never abused...the doors dont sag when you open them, it has never been hit or repainted anywhere and everything functions as it should. Window motors are a little slow and the passenger side headlight is starting to go out. You would think that with all the suspension mods that the car would ride rough..quite the contrary...it rides great! It is a very precise handling car too, since all the flimsy stamped GM rear suspension parts have been upgraded with heavy wall tubular items with heim end joints. A notorious weak point in these cars is the rear end..can you imagine this car came with a 7.5" ring gear differential? Luckily the previous owner spent probably $3000 or more putting in the Moser 12 bolt posi...its bulletproof. All rearend worries...gone. If you spend a little time looking on the net for what the cost is on some of these upgrades..you will be floored. The headers and Y pipe are probably $1000, the Textralia rebuildable clutch..$1000, the Borla exhaust system $1000, all the tubular suspension stuff $1000 or more, the 12 bolt $3000...how much is that so far? $7000.. and that isnt counting everything! You should note that the upgrades work harmoniously and are intended to maximize the potential of the car...to make it better in every way...make the rearend strong..make the suspension sturdy. All this on a car that was never abused. What does it need? The hood re-painted, the A/C needs servicing..we charged it and it worked fine..then the freon leaked out..so it has a leak somewhere. Might be as simple as an o ring. Tires in the back are a little worn but still ok. Has a couple of chips and small dents on the drivers quarter panel top. All in all ...you'd be very hard pressed to find a nicer car...especially given all the upgrades. Car needs work to pass CA smog...and that is up to the buyer...CA registration just expired a few days ago. Clear title in hand. Why am I selling it? My daily driver is down and I have been driving the Trans Am more and more...while I love the car, and I consider it a dream car...I am not in the position to keep it right now...and dont want to degrade the car through Los Angeles commuting.. Email me if you have any questions ...and a phone number and I will call you if you wish...car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to close the auction at any time.. TERMS: Full payment is to be in my hands within 3 days of auction end...manner of payment is strictly my choosing..depends on whom you bank with etc. Wire transfer or cashiers checks..or cash upon pickup if you are local is ok. DO NOT BID if you need to check with a shipper, your wife, bank etc...until you have everything on your end sorted. Get all the answers you need before you bid! This is a serious auction for serious people.
