This is a true 1997 SS model. I am the original owner. It only has 12979 original miles on it. Has been garaged since new.I ordered the truck in the spring of 1997 and at the same time ordered a new LT4 corvette crate engine. I ordered the truck with the options I wanted.When the truck came in I bought it and drove it straight home and at 31 miles I replaced the original engine with the LT4 engine. It has won it's class in many car shows, has been in the "World of Wheels" car shows 3 times and won it's class all 3 times, has been featured in 2001 issue of GM High Tech Performance magazine and has been in several other magazines also. Yes it has been down the dragstrip many times also, the last time was probably 11 years ago. I have had lots of fun with this truck and now somebody else can have the oppertunity to have some fun with it. I seldom get it out to drive it so I decided to finally sell it if anybody is interested, If it dont sell thats ok too. Around 2001 I replaced the auto trans with a 6 speed, Modified the engine at same time. Since then I've only put about 900 miles on it in 12 years. And for anyone interested the last time I raced it, it ran 11.6x in the quarter, 7.60 in the 1/8, and if drive normal can still get 24 mpg. Not too bad to run those times and still get that kind of fuel milage. It has the original console and bucket seats. The truck does NOT have a.c. I ordered it without a.c. beause I knew what I was going to do with the truck. If anybody needs any more specs or has questions, feel free to ask. It,s a really nice truck, and no it's not cheap either, I dont think you'll find many this nice with this few miles. I'm sorry the pictures didn't turn out very good, in the pictures the truck looks dull and dirty but it is really shiney and nice inside and out. some specs are: 377 c.i., GMPP camshaft, longtube headers, 6 speed trans, 4.10 rear axle ratio. tires are 245/50-16 front, 315/35-17 rear, GMPP wheels, true ram air,On Oct-29-13 at 19:34:20 PDT, seller added the following information:If anybody wants any specific specs on any part of the truck just ask. There are no problems with the truck that I am aware of, I just want to add that the calibrations for the tach and fuel guage are off a little, they work fine just the tach is still on the 6 cyl. scale and the fuel guage calibration is off a little,empty shows between 1/4 and 1/2 and full is on past full mark. Just the scale is off to the right.
