Notes about the Car This is a numbers matching 1936 Buick Century 4 door sedan (original Arizona car). I purchased this car in 1988 to drive in the Great American Race and did so three times. I have had my fun with this car and now that I only use it as a Sunday driver I feel like its time for someone else to enjoy. After the first race the motor was rebuilt, painted and put back in the car and an electronic fuel system installed for reliability. The true mileage is unknown, but the rebuilt motor has 8,000 miles on it. The original 3 speed transmission is still on the car. It has never been rebuilt and works great. The body itself has never been painted by me nor previous owner and was only touched up in the mid 1990s. It shows no dents, no rust, and has never been in an accident to the best of my knowledge. The interior of the car was restored in roughly 1990. The material is a grey cloth (tweed like) with no rips or tears. The carpet was also replaced and shows a little fade and some wear, but no worn spots. The dash was repainted semi gloss black to keep glare down while driving, but was originally brown wood grain. All gauges and instrumentation work. The drum brakes are in top shape and work perfectly. The underneath of the car shows well with no rust. This is basically a complete stock car as purchased with a few exceptions. The car is located in Leguna Miguel, California which is 58 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
