1978 AMC Matador wagon offered at NO RESERVE. Clean, dry, rust-free original purchased by me from original elderly owner a number of years ago. This vehicle was professionally rust-proofed when new and has been pampered and stored indoors since new. The exterior finish is very, very nice with woodgrain trim in excellent condition. Chrome is very good with one small dent in front bumper and minor spotting on mirrors. Glass is perfect although passenger side rear-door glass does not roll down. I will include a complete rear door from a parts vehicle with working window mechanism with this sale. One of the 4 bumper corner protecters has been damaged but is still intact on the vehicle. The front bumper spacer has been patched at some point prior to my ownership. The burgundy vinyl interior is nearly flawless with only minor wear on the driver's seat commensurate with the stated mileage. A full set of burgundy floor mats is included, however they were removed for the purpose of taking ad photos. There is minor damage at the lower rear corners of both front fenders where the previous owner placed the jack incorrectly. Vehicle is equipped with working air-conditioning, power steering and brakes, intermittent wipers and AM/FM stereo radio. All lights, signals, and horn work properly as does the power window in the rear tailgate and the dual-function tailgate opening mechanism. This vehicle is a two-seat wagon with fold-down rear seat; there is no third seat option. Tires have good tread and show no signs of cracking, however I cannot attest to their age. The vehicle starts easily, runs cool, has good brakes and the transmission shifts perfectly. The exhaust is quiet however the tailpipe is in poor condition. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and transport, but I will gladly work with your shipping agent to accommodate pickup. Vehicle is currently stored near downtown Columbus, Ohio. I will provide up to 2 weeks secure, dry storage following conclusion of the auction, after which storage charges will accrue at the rate of $6 per day.
