This rare find has been garage kept for almost all of its life. It now has 55,175 original miles and it has never needed any major work on the motor or transmission. This car is beautiful and always gets a lot of compliments from the public. New fuel tank and muffler in 2012. New front breaks last month and it passed the N.Y.S, inspection. It may need an emergency brake cable by next year’s inspection. The interior has some wear but is in quite good condition. Head liner has been replaced. The carpet is faded from the Fla. sun but somehow looks good that way. Otherwise carpet is in good shape. There is a small piece of rubber weather strip missing from the driver side door. A small piece ( 1” or so) of plastic trim also is missing. The exterior paint has a few little spots of surface rust but overall looks good. In the right light it looks like a small dent on the back may have been fixed at some point before we got it. Not sure if that is just the way it was made back in 1980 but the camera does not pick it up for a photo. Most trim is in good shape, roof chrome is missing, some trim is held on with small screws. There is some rust under the car but frame and parts are quite solid. The car has a small oil leak that it had when I bought it. It leaves a drop now and then and I add less than a quart of oil every three months or so. The Eagle has a legendary reputation for a reason. They are great little four wheel drive cars!The full time four wheel drive is GREAT! It has never been stuck and has lots of power. The motor just purrs and the transmission shifts well. The car always starts and shifts right into gear. It has a tow ball and it pulls a trailer with ease. The best way I can describe the condition of this car is, that many people think it looks like new, but little things come out at close inspection. Buyer is responsible for registration fees.
