I am selling an Original 1973 Dodge Challenger 340 project car, this car originally came with a 340 cubic inch motor but now has a 318 cubic inch motor, but it still has the original 3 speed manual transmission. This is a very rare original optioned 3 speed manual tranny with a 340 Cu. Car and an even more rare made or export car. Most people at the time opted for the 4 speed Manual or Three Speed Automatic. Please see VIN so you can see how rare this car is. The Cons:The car no longer has the original 340 motor in it now but it now has a 318 motor that starts right up but smokes and misfires, I was told that this motor might have the original 340 heads on it but I cannot confirm it. The challenger does show a little rust on the inside of the doors specially on the passenger side, but I will include another door in ok condition so it can be replaced, the one on the drivers side can be fixed, rust on the inside of the trunk lid, and some bubbling on the bottom of the quarter panel, also the gas tank will need to be replaced. The Pros: I'ts an original 340 Manual 3 speed with dual exhaust Challenger, this car serves as a great base for someone that wants to do a project with minimal effort, the Challenger is a very sought after Muscle Car and depending on your skills and workmanship there is no limit what they can be worth, and once it is done you will become the talk of the neighborhood and at car events because nothing stands out like a MOPAR, The way it is now people always stop and start a conversation recalling their past. So other than the items mentioned the car is pretty solid, there is no rust in the trunk floor, floor boards or firewall, all the windows are in good condition with no cracks and the car seems to be complete for the most part. I do not know how many miles the car has but the odometer shows 82096 miles, these are not original miles. The car is "sold as is" where is no warranty. The car has a New Mexico Title that was last issued in 1982.
