Vehicle Detail
Here at CurtsClassics we offer great deals on affordable classics. Selling classics is a hobby for me, not my main job, so take advantage of low overhead and good deals. We specialize in street rods and muscle cars. We have sold all over the U.S. & have placed several overseas, so shipping is not a problem. Vehicles are also for sale locally so we reserve the right to end the auction early. If you have a serious offer or trade please let us know. Up for sale is a 1966 Lincoln Continental 2 door coupe. Its getting hard to find these in 2 doors. This car looks to still maintain its original paint job. It runs and drives good, i'll break down all of the good and bad below: Electrical: headlights work, wipers work, but has blades missing, heater works, radio- has sony CD player that works, horn inop, power windows and seat inop (looks to be the main switch not working on driver's door), and dome light works. Interior: overall looks pretty good but showing its age. Dash looks very nice, door panels are all pretty good except driver's armrest. Seats look to have been redone before and needs the material stretched a little on front seats. Carpet is ok & had been replaced before, has a couple small holes in headliner. Exterior: original paint, with minor dings/ chips. does not have any major rust- only small amount of surface rust or very small bubbles. Its a good solid car underneath. all of the glass is in good shape, one chip on windshield. most of the chrome and stainless is excellent- has a dent in wheel opening chrome piece on right front wheel and a small dent on RH front bumper. Most of the paint still shines well, passenger rear quarter has some paint rubbed through. Mechanically: The car starts and runs well. we gave it new spark plugs and it fires right up. The carb has been updated to and Edelbrock. It has power steering and power brakes. It runs cool. It has an exhaust manifold leak on the right hand side- not sure if a gasket or donut. it has newer exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. Belts, hoses and fluids all check good. It needs front brake pads, but the car does drive and stop fine. the wheels and tires are older, wheels have some chrome peeling and some of the tires are starting to weather-crack. Overall this car is a cool find and a great cruiser. It looks good to drive as it is, or you can freshen it up with a paint job if you are picky. It runs and drives down the road nice and smooth. I wouldn't take off across the country in this one though before buying new tires and brakes. It is solid all the way around and a great piece of history to own.
