This 1974 Camaro is currently located in Elk Grove, California and has been registered in California for a long time. This is a very straight, clean body lined 1974 Camaro and the only small area's of rust that there is is on the right side trunk hinge support and a few small pin holes in the trunk pan. The fenders have some small bubbles under the paint in the lowers where they meet the doors. The Quarters, inner and outer wheel houses, rocker panels, doors, sub-frame, firewall and upper/lower cowl are all solid. The rear window on 1974 Camaro is brand new but will need to be properly set and have new chrome trim installed. It is dark tint glass. This 1974 Camaro is a Sport Coupe as it has the "1FQ87" on the trim tag which is still intact as is the public VIN plate on the dash. This 1974 Camaro is an original 350 C.I. 4bbl V-8 car. This 1974 Camaro is the last year of the 2nd generation small rear window bodies. Being that this is a 1974 Camaro, it is exempt from California's completely ridiculous smog laws! You can put a 572 big block with NOS if you so desire and still be street legal! This 1974 Camaro was originally a Bright Yellow (code 51) and Black interior car. This required a major facelift on the Camaro. Rather than place an I-beam ram on the front of the car, Chevy was able to tactfully craft a bumper which met the requirments and still looked relatively stylish - to some people. In addition to this, a new, now fiberglass front end nose was required. In the back, a matching aluminum bumper was used, along with wrap around teardrop style tail lights. This change required a redesign of the rear quarter panel and trunk as well.You might notice a lot of the changes being implemented are due to federal regulations, some of which were met with severe disgust by the car buying population.
