This is a 1946 Series 62 Cadillac, low sleek "torpedo" style fastback, sedanette with chrome window trims, more slant in the windshield, lower profile side windows and a curved rear window. This is the longest and greatest of all fastbacks. Mostly original car with one custom repaint about 15 years ago. Very little rust on body or undercarriage, interior is original (other than color) and in good condition. Lots of work done to get it in good runnning condition. Things like new water pump and new brakes, new generator, new battery, rebuilt starter, rebuilt carborator, all the fluids new etc.. Equipped with all the original stock equipment, other than the paint colors, the wheels are off a 50s Eldorado, and it was custom lowered (custom springs created) a few inched by a professional. This is the first of the post-war Cadillacs. The car drives well. PLEASE NOTE! The grille in the pictures is from my 1947 Cadillac. It will NOT come with the grille in the picture. The original grille needs to be fixed (welded and rechomed/polished). I will be sending the original grille in the car so you can have it fixed. It is also MISSING a rear fender chrome spear trim piece, and the trunk handle, please look at the picutres. Radio is in but does not work. All guages, headlights etc, work. It is an old car so it does leak oil, its does not have a lot of power because it is heavy and long. This is NOT a SHOW car, it is a driver so it has some wear and tear on it, but still shows really well. Vehicle is sold AS-IS. Please let me know what questions you have. I absolutly love this car. So why am I selling it? Well to make a long story short I just dont have the time to drive it around anymore and its been sitting in my garage too much. I have driven it 2-3 times a year over the last 5 years so it really needs to go to someone who can give it some TLC. It is absolutly a one of a kind, you will get tons of attention everywhere you go. I have the clean California Title in hand. I am suspecious of selling cars online, so please no odd emails exchanges about offers or payments, I will not respond if I suspect fraud stuff. I will not release the car until I have cash in hand or my bank has cleared the funds. On Oct-12-13 at 08:02:56 PDT, seller added the following information: 10/12 UPDATE: I have recieved an overwhelming number of questions, requests and offers my apologies to all those I was not able to get back to. I never anticipated these many questions so I have more pictures of the engine, the body tag, the trunk, and the example of chips in the paint see new pcitures, however ebay is not letting me delete a few older pictures to add these newer onese since it is so close to the end now. Please send me a message and I will send you a few more pictures. It is my wifes birthday today so I will not be able to respond until the night time. PLEASE REMEMBER the grille in the picture will NOT be part of the car as it is for a 47 Cad which is slightly differnt. I have 2 orginal 46 Cad grilles that I will be incliding inside the car, however as I mentioned above they need to be welded, rebuild and rechromed. Also I remembered a few more things to add. It is missing the door sills, the trunk handle, and many have asked about the holes in the back right above the rear bumber, those are for two lights that surrounds the licese plate, I dont have the fixtures to put there and there is a reverse light that goes there. The engine compartment is painted the same color as the car not black. I have driven it up to 55-60MPH on the highway but not often and not for very long, so I am not comfortable with people driving it away, please plan to tow it long distances. One last thing, I want to repeat that this is not a show car, it is older and I bet you will want to do some things to it, so I just wanted to set everyones expectations especailly those out of state or country.
