This is a 1961 Triumph Herald 948 convertible. From information I gathered from the Triumph Herald web site the original color of this car should be Coffee with a white convertible top. Sometime in the 60's the car was painted red and the convertible top was changed to black. The door panels have been recovered in red material but it feels as if the original door panel may be underneath. The seats are covered in the original color/material. The driver seat needs work. The car has had a complete brake job, new master cylinder, some brake lines, new master cylinder for the clutch system. Complete new fuel line, battery, heater hoses, radiator hoses and antifreeze. New spark plugs, oil and oil filter. Motor runs good, valve train is quiet. Car has 2 SU carburetors. New transmission mounts. No broken glass, all letters on the body and all emblems are intact. Map basket and glove box is intact. Spare tire and cover and jack in trunk. Purchased locally. Car was garaged from 1968 until 2010. Came out of storage for approximately 1 month, put back in storage until this summer (2013). Number on firewall/bulkead is Y15184LCV. Number on engine block is Y17508HE.
