Vehicle Detail
1984 FJ60, Title is clear, mileage is true. This vehicle has never been in an accident. I am the 2nd owner of this original FJ 60. Originally purchased in Chicago in 1984, then to NM, now KS. I've owned it for 11 years (garage kept throughout its life). It has 74,000 original miles and it is rust free. Work since I've owned it: rebuilt carburetor when I first purchased it, new starter, new shocks, new brakes, new radiator and fan, rebuilt clutch, new BFG tires (33 10.50), new master cylinder, new power steering pump, new fuel pump. (most records available) It is all stock down to the original Toyota am/fm radio, owners manual, window sticker and tool bag (with Toyota tools); with the exception of maintenance completed above, brush guard and 9000lbs Ramsey Winch. The interior is in excellent shape. Seats are in great shape, the headliner does not have any sags or rips, original dash is without cracks. This comes from a smoke free/pet free environment. All gauges work with the exception of the oil pressure gauge (I was told that it needs a new sensor), the heater blows hot. Stock rear heater works as well. Original window sticker and owner's manual, receipt of purchase. Also, original certificates of paint shield, rust shield (undercoating) and fabric shield "The Protector Corporation" applied at time of initial purchase by original owner. Paint is original Root Beer Brown, dull as to be expected, but does shine with a good wax. There is a surface "bubble" on the lift gate. This was present when I bought it and has not changed in size or shape. It is firm. The original owner had a hood ornament applied, it was not present when I bought it, but 2 small holes remain in the hood where it was placed. Original chrome factory wheels. Engine runs fine from my layman's point of view. It was a daily driver for me for 6 years and has sat around in my garage for the last 4 or 5 years being driven occasionally (driven 100 - 300 miles per year). It had roughly 50,000 miles on it when I bought it. I can tell you that it starts up and rides fine through all gears whenever I drive it. It does leak some oil (Oil has always been within normal limits at it's service jobs). Air conditioner currently blows warm air (I have not had it checked or serviced, but it likely just needs to be recharged). It worked perfectly when it was my daily driver. Exterior has some minor scratches, dents and dings as to be expected for a 30 year old vehicle. Disclaimer: this is a used vehicle and I am not a mechanic. I think that it runs very well, starts up and rides smoothly any time I drive it. Shifts great though all gears, 4WD works flawlessly. Vehicle is sold as is. This FJ will make a great daily driver as it is currently. Given its low mileage, all original details and current condition, if you are willing to put a little into it this FJ60 will quickly become an incredible collectible.
