Vehicle Detail
Description: 1963 FJ45LV, one of the very first LVs imported to the US. We found this LV in Casper, WY where it had spent its entire life up to that point. We brought it back to SC and completely overhauled it mechanically from top to bottom. As you can see from the pictures, this LV has great patina and character that we fell in love with, so we decided to leave it as we found it by preserving its weathered state. While the LV is mechanically sound, the body is in an unrestored state, as stated, and being an LV, it has rust issues that are visible in the pictures below. The worst of it is in the rear quarters and rockers, especially the driver's side. Also the passenger rear wheel well has some damage from the POs run in with a tree. The floors on the inside are solid throughout, but the driver's and passenger's floors did have new metal welded in. Recently we took the LV on a off-road trip through Colorado where we used 4wd routes to follow the continental divide as closely as possible, criss-crossing the state on over 500 miles of the state's best trails. The LV didn't skip a beat and performed marvelously; I would feel comfortable driving it anywhere. Below I will cover the areas of the LV where we have completed work over the last year. It is truly is one-of-a-kind and turns heads everywhere we go. I have done my best to include all work done and any issues, but I am sure I have left some things out. So please ask questions. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. SOLD AS IS WHERE IS
