1965 Chevrolet C20 ¾ Ton NAPCO 4X4 Pick Up. 283 4 speed w/granny gear. 8 foot box. I only have this truck a little over a year. I purchased it out of the western US as a father/son, knock around/local cruise/have some fun truck. The ONLY reason I’m selling it is I’m being forced to pay astronomical attorney fees racked up in my divorce. Another reason I purchased the truck is due to its originality. The odometer shows 79168 and I maybe put 1000 miles on since I’ve had it, just cruising and be-bopping around. Tons of “thumbs up” while doing so. It’s kept in a climate controlled garage. 283 High Torque V8 with #’s F0II3WA (Flint, Jan 13, 1965, 2bbl, MT) and from what I’ve been able to trace back via previous owners and with its general appearance it appears to be original to the truck. Original engine color is blue (except intake and valve covers...see comment below). VIN C2545J124460 (2WD, ¾ Ton Long bed, Pickup, 1965, Janesville #24460 built). Sequence number puts it in the January arena. Originally per the VIN a 2WD subsequently converted to 4WD. Conversion looks either factory/dealer with factory parts or NAPCO(?) with serial numbers stamped into the frame rails. Somewhere along the line it was also converted from a 2bbl to a 4bbl. A stock 65 Chevy Manifold was used and an Edlebrock Weber Style carb is on top with a Holley electric fuel pump. Also stock 65 Chevy script valve covers were installed. Manifold and Valve covers are Chevy orange. It also has dual exhaust. Engine runs perfect. Smooth, not ticks or knocks what so ever, strong and consistent oil pressure and uses no oil. 4WD was upgraded to WARN lock outs at some point. It goes in and out of 4WD with no issues. Clutch, braking and cooling systems are solid with not issues. Temp stays at 185 consistently even on the 90+ degree days. The manual transmission is going to need the synchronizers addressed. 1st and reverse drop right in. 2nd, 3rd and 4th not so easy. This truck is a stump puller that goes anywhere and through anything, however we babied it because you can’t find these anymore. Interior is clean and neat with no issues. Body is in good shape and solid as is the frame. Paint is fresh but bubbled in a couple of spots (last owner painted it). Paint work isn’t show quality, but shines up pretty nice. One cab support will need to be addressed down the road. Nothing major, just stating so. Wheel and tire package seen in pictures go with it. Nitto All Terrains still have new tire nipples on them. I have LOADS of parts sitting in boxes ready to go on the truck. New chrome rear bumper and kit, chrome tail gate chains and protectors, window fuzzies, etc…All of which was ordered from LMC Truck parts. I also have the ORGINAL steel wheels w/military type tires (knobies)….It all goes with the truck. My son and I are heart broken, but our loss is your gain. Email me with ANY questions.
