Shelby CS8 For your consideration is a 2006 Shelby CS8 finished in iconic Vista Blue with Satin Silver Metallic racing stripes. Yes, it is a Shelby. Yes, it is extremely fast. Yes, it is extremely rare. CS6/8 PROGRAM HISTORY: Before the Shelby GH-T and Shelby GT500 were introduced in 2006 and 2007, Shelby produced two relatively unknown cars called the Shelby CS6 and Shelby CS8. The Shelby CS6 was introduced at the Vortech/Paxton Booth during the 2005 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Featuring a custom hood, 20-inch American Racing wheels and Shelby Automobiles badging, the CS6 also sported a Shelby-exclusive Paxton NOVI-1200 centrifugal supercharger that pumped the 4.0-liter V6 engine up to 350 hp. Shelby announced its new parts program for 2005+ Mustangs that included a Shelby CS8 package during the 2006 SEMA show, however this package was overshadowed when 2006–2007 Shelby GT-H's hit ebay and when the 2007–2008 Shelby GT and GT500's found their way to Ford dealers. The CS8 featured the Paxton Novi 2200R supercharger with intercooler rated at 470 horsepower and 420 lb-ft torque and shared many parts with it's V6 counterpart. The CS8 is the equivalent of a modern Shelby GT350, however is based off of the 2005-2009 Mustang GT. THE EXPERIENCE: This car is not your average Mustang. The car is not a centerpiece, it is not a trailer queen, it is a car that needs to be driven to be understood. It's not tame or refined like a new Boss 302 - it is more of a beast, requiring a mutual understanding between man and machine. Many enthusiasts have described the CS8 as more of a sports car than a muscle car, a car that handles great and accelerates better. Some enthusiasts claim that the CS8 is what the GT500 should have been, being lighter, more nimble, and more agile than the final production car. This car is about driving experience. There's just something about it - something that can't be explained in words. This car breaths fire into your soul. Starting the car is a ritual. It is mandatory to roll down both Windows before turning the key and realizing the inferno that lurks underneath the distinctive hood. Thunder is summoned from the side exhaust in a way that puts even Mjölnir to shame. Your neighborhood awakens to the storm that pulls out of your garage. A gratifying thump accompanies the shift into first gear. As you pull out of your drive, it is tempting to tap the accelerator and drift the vehicle on demand. Your senses return quickly as you remember the officer who decided to let you off with a warning the last time this happened. You proceed down the street slowly, doing everything you can to restrain the beast. Finally, the onramp. Lucky for you there are not any excessive acceleration laws in this state. One thing is very clear as the boost builds and the beast reminds you about the intercooled Paxton 2200SL high output supercharger that is making ~605hp at the crank or 492rwhp and 432 ft/lbs torque to the rear wheels. This machine wants to go. You give in and there is nothing you can do to stop it. ABOUT THIS CAR: Shelby Forums shows that there is a total of 25 CS's with 16 of them being CS6's and 9 of them being CS8's. This makes this car extremely rare as it is 1 of 9. I asked Steven Thornton, SAI Registry Supervisor at Shelby American, about this car a while ago and he confirmed that this car is included in the Shelby American Registry as a genuine Shelby CS8. I am the second owner. The car has 26,xxx miles - I had the car since June 2007 and have put a total of 3,000 miles maximum on the car since purchasing it, mostly taking it to local car shows. This car gets more attention than anything else I have driven and people are constantly taking pictures\videos of it. I have found my car on youtube after each "cars and coffee" show I have attended and also have found many pictures of it on photobucket etc. UNIQUE PARTS: •Extremely rare Shelby Side Graphics (Part CS6-012) - only for people who purchased a complete Shelby CS6\8 package. These stripes are also installed on the CS6\CS8 concept cars. •Even more rare "ShelbyAutos.com" window decal, the same decal as what was used on early CS6 prototypes and early Terlingua cars. •CS Hood with painted stripes. •CS Grille with extremely rare discontinued PIAA Driving Lights in Upper Grille. Matching PIAA lights in lower bumper + previous owner added the large GT fog lamps to lower grille for that "Eleanor" look. 8 lights on the front of the car can all be turned on at once... At night people will hear this car coming long before they will see it, even when all lights are on. Note the CS Grille on this car is unique as it has part number CS6-009 (for the CS8) installed vs. part CS6-007 (for the CS6) that is installed on most CS6\CS8's. •Stainless Steel Hood Pins (note - non functional pins as I have seen too many Hertz cars with broken hoods... The hood pins look like they are real but will not damage the hood if opened while the pins are still locked.) •CS Side Scoops. •Correct "Shelby" Letter Kits on front and back. •Cervini Side Exhaust and matching body kit. The only CS8 with the side exhaust, other CS8's do have Cervini parts installed (spoilers, window covers, etc.) •"Duck Tail" spoiler. •Shelby Razor Wheels (20x9 very rare silver color with polished lip). Note - 5 wheels included. I purchased a used spare from Shelby a few years ago just incase something happened to one of the wheels on the car. •Hand Signed Shelby Dash Plaque (not the CS8 Turn 2 Plaque as the car was completed before the CS8 Turn 2 Plaque was available) •Shelby Sill Plate Inserts. •Paxton 2200SL High Output Supercharger •Front Mount Intercooler. •Hurst Shifter with Shelby Logo on ball. •DiabloSport tuner. •Powered by Ford Shelby GT emblems. •Shaker 1000 and other GT Premium Package stuff. •I am sure that I am forgetting other parts... Included with the car is some very unique documentation including an original Shelby CS6 brochure (from 2005ish) that includes a picture of the first prototype with incorrect Shelby torq thrust wheels, an early prototype grill, and the unique prototype side stripes and a newer brochure (from 2006ish) with correct Shelby CS6 parts. I will also include the first magazines that featured the Shelby CS6 and CS8 packages. ON YOUTUBE: Here are a few quick videos of the car. Deposit of US $1,000.00 is required within 48 hours of auction close. Full payment via Cashier's Check required within 7 days of auction close. The car came from South Carolina and is now in Minnesota. The car has spent most of it's time in my garage and has not seen snow\salt. I have changed the oil in the engine and supercharger once per year (or every 500 miles) since owning it. The previous owner did not treat it as well as I do, the car does have some water spots on the Windows, however not too bad. The car also has a mark near the drivers side quarter window where the window louvers used to be, however it is not bad. Like all used cars, there other minor cosmetic flaws, however not bad - I rate the car to be in excellent mechanical condition and good cosmetic condition. The previous owner installed Cervinis Eleanor parts on this car, I kept most of them, however removed and sold the louvers as they did not look the best on the CS8. Other CS8's also had Cervinis parts installed (for example, the Shelby CS8 displayed at SEMA in 2008) however this is the only one with the side exhausts.
