In 1993, at the Geneva Motor Show, Aston Martin launched a brand new Grand Tourer for the market, the DB7 Coupe’ and Convertible. Aston Martin wanted an “entry level” sports car that sat underneath the then current V8 Virage super car. The DB7 offered stunning looks thanks to its famous and very British designer Ian Callum and exceptional performance from a Supercharged Jaguar 6-Cylinder engine. The DB7 proved to be an enormous success and gave Aston Martin the confidence to give the DB7 a small face lift and add the mighty 12-Clynder engine in the car for 1999. A stunning new all alloy quad cam 48 valve 6 litre V-12 engine producing 420 horesepower and 400 lbs. ft of torque propels the DB7 to 60 miles per hour in a mere 5 seconds. The DB7 is a breathtaking car that adds English luxury and brutish performance. It truly is an Aston Martin worthy of the Vantage name. This gorgeous hand built automobile left the Kidlington Oxfordshire plant in September of 2000 and was then invoiced to Aston Martin North America. The car was sent to the oldest European dealership in the country; British Motor Car Distributors Inc on Van Ness in San Francisco. The car was then sold in the amount of $150,000 to its first and only owner on September 27, 2000. The car has spent its entire life in the Bay area inside a climate controlled garage amongst other high end sports cars in a large private collection. European Motor Studio acquired the car from the first owner and brought it to Phoenix where is now resides, having only covered 29,750 original documented miles from new. The car is a stunning example of Aston Martins Vantage line. Push the starter button and the glorious sound of the V12 roars to life idling superbly and shifting through all of the gears effortlessly. The clutch feels excellent without any slippage or hesitation. The suspension feels very taut and precise; there are no unusual noses or creaking sounds. The ride is supple but still firm like a European GT car should be. The handling is dead on, it feels excellent without any pulls, drifting or shaking. The brakes feel solid without any squeaking or pulling. All of the electrical equipment in the car works as it was designed to. The windows, locks, mirrors, heated seats, the driver and passenger power seats, windshield wipers, power soft top, headlights, taillights, side maker lights, turn signals, side marker lights, reverse lights, brake lights all work. The AC blows ice cold and the heater works as it should on all fan speeds. The car has two factory remotes that work as they should, with two original Aston Martin cut keys. Every single receipt is with the car from new documenting a one owner car including a clean and clear carfax report. The Aston Martin convertible top boot is present and fits nicely on the car, the premium -alpine sound system works and includes the 6-disc CD changer. The owners guide and original sales brochure also go with the car. Only flaws that I can see on the car are the power antenna sometimes sticks. It will go up half the time and then the other half it stays in the down position. The wheels do show a light amount of curb rash on the outer rim here and there, not heavy just lightly scratched. The driver foot well does show some wear on the carpets, I took a picture to show the area, it is about an inch long and maybe an inch wide. The interior is completely original and looks beautiful. The Connolly leather interior shows almost no signs of wear or cracking; the leather still feels soft and supple. All of the piping looks outstanding and shows no signs of wear, the wood on the car looks beautiful and still has a deep finish and free of any cracking. The car is from a non smoker. The Almond Green paint looks absolutely stunning with only a couple tiny stone chips on the front end. The body is perfect and does not have one ding or dent anywhere. Completely rust free having always been inside a climate controlled garage. The lower skirt is absolutley perfect with not one single scratch or mark. All of the switchgear looks new, all of the chrome looks new, the rubber looks new, and the rest of the carpeting looks new. The original soft top shows almost no signs of wear and the gorgeous suede headliner is unmarked and in like new condition. The engine bay looks almost brand new; there is not a spec of dust anywhere. The tires show almost no wear; the battery was replaced about a year ago and the car was serviced about a year ago roughly two thousand miles ago including the plugs and wires. New transmission mounts were just done along with a new vacuum engine lines. This Aston Martin DB7 is absolutely gorgeous and runs and drives as good as it looks. The single owner spared no expense on maintaining this car to keep it as new as possible.
