Vehicle Detail

1986 CJ7 Crawler for sale. I am about to have two CJ7s in my driveway, and one has to go. I bought this one from the owner of Wild-side Motorsports in Naperville, IL - where it was built. It was built for the Badlands in Indiana and was the owners personal Crawler. I used it to get ice cream and go to the hardware store this summer, made some minor repairs, and now I am moving on to a new - bigger - Jeep project. 258 Clifford motor, 4-barrel double header, Flowmaster exhaust all the way back, high amp alternator, Dana 44 axles, 456 gears, 4-speed Chevy ¾ ton trans, Detroit Lockers front and rear, new brakes front and rear, new drums and rotors, new wheel bearings, Tom Woods drive shafts front and rear, power steering, Y-spring over revolver shackles, new 35-14 x 15 radial tsl superswampers on turbine aluminum rims, new Mickey Thomson Baja trail claw on new turbine rim = spare, custom built full roll cage with nerf bars, original seats front and rear with seat belts, rhino lined floor with aluminum foot floor pads, OEM CJ7 doors with working vent windows, CB radio for trail use with weather channel, custom front and rear bumpers with swing out tire carrier, new shackles on bumpers, new paint, removable hard top and doors, removable tow bar. This Jeep is rock ready, runs and drives and sounds great. I added a new center console (radio ready) and replaced the windshield. I bought it for $6500.00 and I am willing to part with it at a loss to make room for my next Jeep. I have a clean title in hand and contact with the shop that built it for any upgrades the new owner wishes to make. The previous owner spent about 22K building it. On Aug-26-13 at 13:08:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Headlamps, signals, brake lights, and Hazards work. The off road reverse lights were removed, but, the mounting points on the bumper are there for an easy re-install. All the gauges are OEM and work except for the temp gauge. I can include a high lift Jack (mounting points are already drilled in the hood), a bikini top with rail, and possibly a ceiling lift system to lift off and store the hard top (one might arrive with my next JEEP that I will pass along). I also have a newer dash pad (200 dollar plus value) that I can include if the new owner is able to trim it to fit inside the roll bar system. To avoid any disappointments - please note that this Jeep is built for off road not as a daily driver. As it is, it's great for trailing and short trips around the neighborhood in sunny weather and light traffic and waving to the girls and other Jeepers. The flowmaster exhaust rumbles like a V8 and it fits right in on the local cruise night. The engine and gearing will hold a speed of 60 and probably tops out at 70 mph BUT.... For significant mileage, wet weather and highway speeds at distance - it would require a few changes. Sway bars ought to be re-installed (this decreases trail performance though). Power brake booster should be added (see YJ booster conversion in Jeep Forum). A small leak in the transmission (quarter sized drop overnight - only after driving) might need fixed for high mileage driving. Side markers might be replaced on the fenders (wires and sockets are still in the Jeep) and fender flares re-installed - for night driving and wet weather driving in traffic (I have some new fender flares if wanted). A bad ground in the wiper motor could be fixed - I never drive it in wiper weather. As I write this - it is "bidded" to sell at a "steal" price. There is no reserve on this auction. Nontheless, I am committed to make sure the buyer ends up with an enjoyable new toy at a the right price. On Aug-28-13 at 13:16:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I uploaded some pictures that came in upside down. I called Ebay and they cannot be altered at this point (even turned right side up). Here is a link to some interior pictures showing the floor metal, dashboard, new dash pad, gauges, seats, the new console etc... The front seats fold forward and the rear seat tumbles forward for more storage space in back. There are two seat belts in back (waist only). https://plus.google.com/photos/110506344357325210873/albums/5917263913873260817?banner=pwaOn Aug-28-13 at 18:31:48 PDT, seller added the following information: My other Jeep has arrived. I have two more goodies to throw in for the winner of this auction. 1. Confirmed I have the ceiling hoist and storage system for the hard top. This will allow you to take the hard top on and off un assisted and hold it near the ceiling in your garage. (159 dollar value if purchased new). 2. I have a high end cold air intake system that I don't need now. This will accomplish two things. It will make room for a brake booster - should the new owner choose to put one in. (The CJ air filter for manual brakes is in the way for a power brake booster). And, it will allow colder air to be aspirated in into the carb for increased performance. It is also cool looking. I have all the gaskets and rings and clamps to allow the owner multiple options for making it fit and look nice. (300 dollar plus value if purchased new).
