Up for auction is a very nice 68 Mustang Fastback. I purchased the car two years ago from the man who restored it. The body was stripped to bare metal and all rusted parts were replaced with new panels not just patched. I have photos of the build. The engine is a new Ford Racing SVO block built out to 408 cu. it dyno'd at 586 hp, have dyno slip. A box of receipts, car cover and two quarts of paint, one white one red come with the car. to give you an idea of how much money was spent on this car, the engine long block receipt shows $8900 It's backed by a Tremec 5 speed and ford 9" rear end with 3:73 gears. 80 mph lumps along at only 2100 rpm The interior is relatively stock as is the exterior to maintain that classic look. The suspension was replaced and the brakes are disk at all four corners. The car rides firm but not uncomfortable at 80 all day on the freeway. The car has a very throaty lumpy exhaust tone that turns heads. It sounds mean and intimidating just idling at the stop light. It has the performance to back the sound as well, this thing is FAST! Built light with nothing more than what is needed to make it go, turn and stop. 3300 miles since restored Overall condition of the car 8.5 out of 10 Paint 8 out of 10 Interior 9 out of 10 Drivetrain- AWSOME! Looking for a reasonable offer in the ball park from a buyer who can complete the transaction. Don't wait till the end to make offers 'cause it maybe gone.
